A ray of hope in an overwhelmingly straight world

Game Closet is consistently one of my favorite podcasts. Taylor is a phenomenal interviewer and talks to a wide array of queer members of the tabletop games space. So many people discussing their views on game design and how it interacts with queerness and other aspects of their life. Every discussion is marked by joy, even when they handle difficult topics sometimes. Seriously, do yourself a favor and check this out (and then check out the Seinfeld episode where George tries to microwave a selfie)

The combination of wit and heart and queer representation makes this one of my favorite TTRPG interview podcasts, and that's a bigger category of podcasts than it might sound. Give this show a listen, discover new designers and new ways of looking at the world of gaming.
This Is A Podcast About Joy

If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Gee, I should find more diverse indie games,” or, “I wonder what the designer of this game’s favorite cheese is,” or, “I sure would like to get emotional learning about people like me who create beautiful things,” then this is the podcast for you. Taylor is a fun, insightful host & cares deeply about shining a spotlight on other marginalized folx who are doing work in the gaming community. My only warnings are that once you start working through the backlog, you’ll find your twitter feed increasingly rad & your thoughts increasingly drawn toward game theory as you follow all of these wonderful queer designers. (Including & especially Taylor himself: please go check out all of Taylor’s games from his plugs, this review title is a TIAGAF riff & I want you to understand it)
Amazing resource for designers and humans

Initially I didn’t think this podcast was for me, or that I wouldn’t enjoy it without the context and life experience of the guests. I was completely wrong. This podcast is an absolutely indispensable resource for both game designers and players to better understand their hobby and the people in it. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone at all interested in tabletop role playing or storytelling games.
