This is the best cattle information available in the US. UNL is leading the way on helping farmers have more efficient beef herds.

In many states, you can also check out your state’s public hunting and fishing lease program through your state fish and game agency. In Nebraska this program (Open Fields and Waters) provides an annual per acre payment based on habitat type, takes care of signage, and waives the landowner of all liability through the Nebraska Recreational Liability Act. Additional cost share and technical assistance for habitat improvements (cedar tree removal, prescribed fire, or even incentives to help cover costs of CRP management) can also be available. UNL does a great job on this, specifically Aaron. Don’t let the short length deter you. This is drinking from a fire hose of info! I end up listening two or three times to get everything locked in.
