Giant Superman Podcast

The nice thing about shows that review 60+ year old comics is that if it takes you 6 years to listen to them, you’re still on time. Jon and Bob show these stories love they deserve and the side-eye they also deserve. It’s a wonderful discussion on Superman’s Silver Age and the creators that made it great.

Thank you, John and Bob. This podcast is absolutely wonderful. I have recently become legally blind in the last three years and it is hard for me to read comics. Listening to you guys talk about the comics I've read from time to time absolutely makes my heart happy happy. I enjoy listening to the different podcasts you guys appear on and keep up the great work.

Bob and Jon have a great rapport, maintain consistently stellar audio quality, and do a super job going through the stories they cover! I've really enjoyed learning from their comic knowledge!

A new podcast, dedicated to the Superman Giants of the Silver Age. At the time they were published, they were reprints of older stories, but as Bob Fisher, one of the hosts notes, we kids didn't always know that. To us, they were simply Superman stories that were new to us. Bob Fisher, whom I've listened to on the Superman Forever Radio podcast, and Jon M. Wilson, whom I've only listened to when he's guested on podcasts I've listened to, clearly enjoy the subject and have a respect for the characters and time period under discussion, without being overly reverent. This makes for a fun listen. Fair warning to any casual fans considering adding this podcast to their listening list: Giants were, indeed, giant, with many stories, so this makes for longer podcast episodes, the first one clocking in at a bit over two-and-a-half hours. If you like to listen to the whole episode at one sitting, as I do, be prepared to dedicate a good block of time. Otherwise, it may be helpful to listen to an episode in pieces. That wouldn't be hard to do, as a listener could "break" between stories. No matter how you listen, I think you'll find it quite enjoyable.
