Dana Perino, Former White House Press Secretary + Fox News Anchor — Glambition® Radio Episode 259 with Ali Brown

Dana Perino, Former White House Press Secretary + Fox News Anchor — Glambition® Radio Episode 259 with Ali Brown

This former White House Press Secretary — and today a familiar face on Fox News — had a story I never knew until this interview on #GlambitionRadio. And what a discussion we had!

From Dana Perino’s humble beginnings on a small-town Wyoming cattle ranch to later representing the highest office in the United States, she’s now sharing her wisdom to be a supporting voice for women when it comes to navigating their careers and lives.

Her new book ‘Everything Will Be Okay: Life Lessons for Young Women (from a Former Young Woman)’ is jam-packed with great advice and ‘in the trenches’ stories on tough decisions Dana made over the decades, as well as some heartfelt insights into her life and family.

Following the 9/11 attacks in 2001, Dana joined the Bush Administration as a spokesperson at the U.S. Department of Justice. She was later invited to become press secretary in a twist of fate that she wasn’t expecting… as you’ll hear on this episode of Glambition Radio. And today she anchors ‘The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino’ and is a co-host of ‘The Five’ on Fox News Channel.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

The one decision Dana made at an early age that ‘programmed’ her entire career trajectory… and why asking THIS question will foreshadow your future success

Why the launch of ‘Everything Will Be Okay’ was ‘the right book to write at the right time’, especially after the disruption of last year (plus, hear which chapters have had a mysterious resonance with Dana’s readers)

The ballsy story Dana’s publishers wanted to remove from her manuscript to make her more ‘likeable’, but she fought to have included in the book. (And this was my favorite story too!)

How pivotal moments in our country’s history have shaped each generation of women—and how to leverage adversity to your career advantage (plus, her fascinating take on 2020’s effect on young women today…)

Why it’s critical for today’s professional women to seek partners who can support what they need in the moment (and how to cater to the ebbs and flows of love + career over a lifelong timeline)

And finally, the 'how she met her husband' story: a juicy tale involving a suitcase and a dashing English stranger, which I’m nominating for this year’s #1 love story!

Sara Yagoub, Founder + CEO of Be Cool Enterprises — Glambition® Radio Episode 257 with Ali Brown

Sara Yagoub, Founder + CEO of Be Cool Enterprises — Glambition® Radio Episode 257 with Ali Brown

The age of the renegade is upon us. And while my guest today owns what some would call a traditional business, her unconventional outlook and actions are transforming the collective consciousness.

Sara Yagoub is the Founder + CEO of Be Cool A/C + Heating and Be Cool Enterprises. And as you’ll hear on Glambition Radio, her journey to entrepreneurship AND spiritual awakening came through a series of eye-opening ‘initiations’.

After recognizing that climbing the corporate ladder was destroying the connection to her inner-knowing, and amassing wealth and status was at the expense of her marriage and family life, Sara’s mission became clear: to ‘unplug’ from the Matrix, and help humanity reconnect to their truth. (Especially when it comes to creating success with ease and on your terms.)

A former overworked ‘corporate-yes-girl’, Sara escaped the 9-to-5 grind to build her own multi-million-dollar company in only 18 months. Along with her A/C business she also created ‘The Referral Circle’, helping high-achieving female entrepreneurs to create referral machines for their businesses. And while her business savvy is impressive, it’s Sara’s clarity on the ‘bigger picture’ and deeper universal truths that I can’t wait for you to hear…

Sara has been featured in Voyage Magazine and served as keynote for many organizations including American Business Women’s Association, WHW2N, Houston Chamber of Commerce, National Business Masterminds and more.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

How—as the child of immigrant parents from India and Africa—Sara was primed for achievement from an early age… and why her ‘prescribed professional path’ quickly began to unravel!

Why chasing corporate recognition drove Sara away from her true source of fulfillment… and how starting a business with her husband helped her find that, help others, and transform her greater impact in the world

When Sara first recognized that large, established systems (like the corporate culture and medical industry) were forcing spirituality—and even humanity—out of the picture… and how she’s helping others return to this powerful source

How there is such power in saying NO, especially as you become more successful. We talk about our calendar ‘rules’ to preserve our space, and declining to embrace every new marketing trend that clamors for our attention.

And I’m thrilled to share that Sara joined us here in Phoenix last week for our Pop-Up Gathering of The Trust. (You can see a photo of us on my IG feed.) I’ve been impressed with her higher perspectives since I met her last year!

Rachel Cruze is a two-time #1 national best-selling author and host of The Rachel Cruze Show. She has served as a Ramsey Personality since 2010, where she teaches how to avoid debt, save money, budget and win with money at any stage in life.

(I also appreciate her keen perspectives on seeking contentedness in our modern ‘comparison culture’, and how the challenges of 2020 proved to be so enlightening for many of us when it comes to managing our energy and attention around money. It’s a ‘rich’ conversation that you won’t want to miss.)

Rachel has authored three best-selling books, including Love Your Life, Not Theirs and Smart Money Smart Kids, which she co-wrote with her father, Dave Ramsey. Her latest book is Know Yourself, Know Your Money: Discover WHY You Handle Money the Way You Do and WHAT to Do About It.

Why going totally debt-free will open up new energy in your finances (and how it trickles into other aspects of life, like personal relationships and spirituality)

How changing your relationship to money NOW will impact your family tree for generations to come… plus, a step-by-step process for business owners to organize both sides of their finances

And, my personal favorite… Rachel shares a brilliant morning coffee ‘hack’ that you’ll want to implement yourself!

Carolyn Aronson, Founder + CEO of It’s a 10 Haircare — Glambition® Radio Episode 255 with Ali Brown

Carolyn Aronson, Founder + CEO of It’s a 10 Haircare — Glambition® Radio Episode 255 with Ali Brown

After experimenting with a multi-product line and then doubling-down on just ONE amazing product, this serial entrepreneur quickly dominated the haircare space… with a product we all know and love!

Carolyn Aronson is the Founder + CEO of It’s a 10 Haircare, one of the only female-owned professional hair care brands in the world. Her star product—their Miracle Leave-In treatment—lines the shelves in over 25,000 professional salons and 15,000 professional salon chains (and will soon expand into European markets). It’s also the #1 selling brand in the entire beauty category in Ulta.

With over 20+ years experience as a stylist and salon owner, Carolyn learned firsthand the challenges of finding multi-use haircare products that delivered on bold claims… especially for a variety of hair types, conditions to treat, and user preferences. So when she couldn’t find a product that did exactly what she needed, she created her own (with zero previous experience in manufacturing).

‘It’s a 10’ quickly gained cult-like acclaim from professional stylists and clients alike. In fact, Carolyn’s product created an entirely NEW haircare category, as you’ll hear on Glambition Radio.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

How her initial foray into entrepreneurship was a total bust… but it helped Carolyn hone her product quality, business operations, and mission (imagine going from broke to best-seller…)

Carolyn’s powerful message to all women founders, and why it’s more important than ever that we claim our accomplishments and continue bringing our gifts to the world

Carolyn’s #1 piece of advice for anyone considering entering a business partnership… a tip she even follows with her serial entrepreneur husband! (They run 15 businesses between them…)

How It’s a 10 defied all existing hair product categories… and why starting with one exclusive offering can be your ‘golden formula’ to build a business empire

Amy Robbins, Founder + CEO of Alexo Athletica — Glambition® Radio Episode 254 with Ali Brown

Amy Robbins, Founder + CEO of Alexo Athletica — Glambition® Radio Episode 254 with Ali Brown

After experiencing a threatening situation while training alone on a backroad for a marathon, Texas-based Amy Robbins wished there was women’s athletic apparel that could accommodate tools for self-defense, be it a taser, pepper spray, or a pistol. (And, she thought, why not also have room for your phone, car keys, and a tampon?)

When she realized nothing like this existed, she seized the opportunity and created Alexo Athletica (meaning to ‘defend and help’) in 2017. Now more than a fashionable carry-wear line, Alexo has built serious momentum on the waves of the #MeToo movement, educating on women’s empowerment and safety.

As you’ll hear on Glambition Radio, Amy’s mission goes much deeper than bringing her stylish and functional athletic line to market… it’s her passion for teaching women their options to defend themselves, and how these skills are so important to living a confident, self-reliant life—that truly lights her up.

On this episode of #GlambitionRadio, you’ll hear:

The original Runners World survey results that fueled Amy’s mission, sharing that nearly 80% of female runners have experienced some type of threat while training outside (she shares the details in our conversation, and I can surely relate)

My own journey to embracing self-defense, and my surprise to discover how many other women in my circles have been thinking the same thing… (In fact, my mind was blown when I started having this conversation with other women, across all party lines.)

How Amy AND her husband both quit their juicy, six-figure corporate jobs to ‘burn the boats’ and go all in on Alexo… and the impact this had on their marriage + family life

Why Amy was so motivated to become a disruptor in an intimidating and traditionally male-dominated industry… and how her newfound passion for women’s self-defense was completely supported by market data (hear the staggering statistics on 2020 alone!)

Absolutely Amazing podcast

Ali Brown’s podcast is amazing. It’s a mix of great stories, tips, great inspiration and sharing their wisdom from what they’ve learned in their professional and personal lives. My favorite one hands down is her podcast with Dana Perino. It was such a wonderful episode which felt like sitting down with girlfriends. The stories Dana told were phenomenal and I enjoyed them immensely. I love the tips and the way both Ali and Dana give young women some advice from their own experiences. This is a must have podcast for me.

This show has changed my life

I found this podcast in 2019 when I was desperately in search of finding like minded female entrepreneurs. I had no one around me that thought like that and it was so lonely. Ali and her gusts are THE BEST circle of women entrepreneurs out there! If you want to learn and one day be at the top of the food chain, this podcast is your holy grail.
