While deeply grateful for this recognition, he finds even greater joy in the opportunity to inspire and make a difference through his music. Growing up in Falmouth, Jamaica, the rhythm of the rich Caribbean sounds deeply influenced my soul. From a young choir member to a budding musician, I found my voice by blending the vibrant sounds of my roots with an uplifting message honoring my Creator. From the sunny vibes of Jamaica to the creative melting pot of Canada, my musical journey has been a rollercoaster ride! Countless struggles, unwavering devotion, and an enduring dream have brought me to this moment. Along the way, I've encountered numerous friends and supporters who kept me motivated. The road to success is often winding, filled with long days and even longer nights.
Yet, through every twist and turn, learned invaluable lessons - the power of patience, the importance of waiting on God's timing, and the beauty of collaborating with incredible talent. Through thick and thin, it has been the unwavering support of friends and fans that has fueled my passion for music. Their stories uplifted and inspired me to create music that leads people to live their most impactful lives while honoring God who blessed me with this musical gift. Being selected for such a prestigious award like the JUNOS is a tremendous honor, and I am deeply grateful to be considered alongside some of the greatest musicians. I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me along the way – my family, friends, collaborators, and fans. Your unwavering belief in me has been the driving force behind this achievement.

Elenee is a multi-award winning Canadian Christian artist, producer, and songwriter. Her sound is warm and her tone is rooted in the encouragement that gospel music brings. Heart of the artist/release: ‘no place here’ packs a punch full of attitude and sass while telling fear to “get lost!” It’s a roll-down-the-windows-and-scream-sing kind of pop song that gives listeners a seal of approval to tell the devil off, just in time for spring. There is a certain empowering appeal in every word and though the song is only four minutes, listeners will be wondering how the song ended up being an hour… or two.

About Mary Buckman
Mary has been dedicated to bringing spiritual renewal, emotional freedom and physical healing to others since 2009. Through her own experiences she learned the limits of psychology, counseling and the medical field, both professionally and personally. When she encountered Biblical Foundations of Freedom, she discovered the root cause of her spiritual, emotional and physical problems. By applying the principles she destroyed Satan’s lies with God’s truth. Her ministry, NewLeaf Ministry, continues to help others experience this transformation also.
Mary relocated to the Phoenix area in 2009 to be nearer family. That move connected her with Joan Hunter Ministries. As an ordained minister under JHM Mary had the privilege of being part of the ministry team in Rwanda in 2022 and continues ministering for Joan when she is in Phoenix. Mary enjoys family, choral singing, entertaining, Bible studies and traveling. She is in love with God and is so grateful for His mercy and grace.
