Season 5 Episode 15 // Always Remember to Never Forget

Season 5 Episode 15 // Always Remember to Never Forget

This was a little bit of an emotional process for me in getting this episode into your hands! Today we will come around the very last chapter in my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live from a Heart of Rest. The chapter we’ll look at is “Always Remember to Never Forget.” Whether you’ve heard my song titled this or read this chapter, I think today’s episode on this still stands alone! I think there’s no better time to remember together what I call “The Seven Wonders of the Beloved” in this chapter, which are the who, whose, when, where, how, what and why of our lives.
These are prodding answers in the form of questions that help us remember who and whose we are so that we can stand faithfully in our “when”—knowing full-well “where” we are in Christ—so that we can be about the how, what and why or our day and our lives! I’ll be signing off for the summer with this episode. I hope it finds you holding fast to JESUS in these days. Much love and I’ll talk to you soon!

Season 5 Episode 14 // The Power of Small

Season 5 Episode 14 // The Power of Small

I’m welcoming back my lovely friend @magenleighroberson as my co-host today as we come around what is shamelessly my FAVORITE chapter in my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live From a Heart of Rest. It’s called “The Power of Small” and what makes the small so powerful is that we serve a God of multiplication! And, I wonder if in these days when things still don’t look like they use to, if we are being invited to experience His multiplication in a way we never thought possible....to learn to trust Him in a new way with what we’ve been given, even when it seems hidden and small. I hope you are SO encouraged today, right where you are! I’ll talk to you soon!

Season 5 Episode 13 // The Heart of a Mother

Season 5 Episode 13 // The Heart of a Mother

Today we will pause from our regular podcast series to come around the beauty of the heart of a mother. Wherever you are in your journey, if you are a woman, you can carry a mother’s heart! You don’t have to be a mother physically to carry a mother’s heart spiritually!
I pray that today you are reminded that you have a Father who delights in you and loves you and longs to FILL you with everything you need in order that you might freely give away what you’ve received! More than ever, this world needs mothers! May we allow a naming, nurturing and navigating heart to be formed and quickened in us in these days!  I’ll talk to you soon!

Season 5 Episode 12 // Everything is Mine in You

Season 5 Episode 12 // Everything is Mine in You

NEW PODCAST TODAY! I had THE most beautiful time getting to catch up with the lovely @ellieholcomb today on the podcast! As you know I’ve been inviting friends and family to “co-host” with me during this season as a way of celebrating my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live From a Heart of Rest. Today we jump into one of my FAVORITE chapters in the book called “Everything is Mine in You” named after a song that Ellie and I wrote together the day we first met! It comes around the truth of 1 Corinthians 3 where Paul urges us to not boast in human leaders because “All things are ours in Christ!” What a truth to declare, even when we stand and ponder circumstances that seem impossible to overcome! We can thank Jesus today, that in Him, everything is ours today. Not earthly things, but Kingdom promises!
You are going to LOVE hearing from the beloved Ellie Holcomb as we also talk about what’s going on in her world, including her new (gorgeous) song CANYON which is out now!! Lastly - if you'd like to get tickets or more info for the faithful livestream on May 1st you can find the link here! We’ll talk to you soon!

    Season 5 Episode 11 // Heart Like a Honeycomb

    Season 5 Episode 11 // Heart Like a Honeycomb

NEW PODCAST TODAY! My lovely co-host is the one and only @ginnyowensofficial and I’m so excited for you to get to hear from her heart and her life! We got to reminisce about our days of getting to tour together (over 20 years ago now!) and how grateful we are to still be friends after all this time! This week we are coming around the chapter called “Heart Like a Honeycomb” in my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live From a Heart of Rest. We will talk about the pursuit of REST in the middle of this restless world that we find ourselves in!
Ginny was born with very poor eyesight and by the time she was three years old, she was completely blind. Ginny has AMAZED me for years—not just because of her Spidey-like-senses and her ability to put her make up on in the dark!—but because of her surrendered heart toward Jesus, no matter what. Today we get to come around HER new book called Singing in the Dark: Finding Hope in the Songs of Scripture. I’ve READ IT and I LOVE IT and even got to write the foreword for it! It’s available NOW for pre-order, everywhere you buy books and officially releases on May 1st! I’ll talk to you soon!

    Season 5 Episode 10 // Amaryllis Prayers

    Season 5 Episode 10 // Amaryllis Prayers

What a joy to get to invite some FAMILY in today as I talk about some of the themes of my new book The Life You Long For: Learning to Live From a Heart of Rest.
This is another conversation that will remain one of my favorites of all time. I truly hope you will listen and be greatly encouraged by this one! My precious sister-in-law @mrskristinhill dropped so much wisdom today as she shared about what it has looked like to learn to bloom in the middle of what has felt like a “winter of the world” this past year! Kristin shares some very practical rhythms and practices that have kept her heart tender and surrendered before the Lord in these days! I promise you will be so incredibly encouraged by what she has to share! We’ll talk to you soon!

Peaceful

I have been listening to your podcast since it started, and I hope you never change the intro music because as soon as I hear it, it’s like my soul instantly relaxes and settles down to receive. I have been conditioned by the intro music, and I’m okay with that. :) Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to use you and for your life-giving ministry in this place . ❤️

So good for the soul

I loved Watermark in the early 2000’s. Fast forward 20 years through two children who are now young adults and a divorce. I was reminded how much I love her during IF: Gathering 2021. I bought her audio book and I can’t turn the podcast off! I’m so glad to have so many seasons to catch up on! The sheer genuine approach to life, backed by scripture, based on finding the glorious in the mundane... such an inspired and intentional approach to life. Which does, often, feel mundane. I am going to listen to it all. And then again. And maybe again, until finding the glorious isn’t an effort or a to-do, but becomes part of who I am. A mom, a wife, a sister, a friend, and most importantly, a child of God. Thank you, Christy!! Your willingness to share your journey will help so many.
