"God willing"

The idea of fate and "God willing" seem to be very prominent within religion. If someone wants something, they can only have it if "God willing". I disagree. I believe that we are very much in control of our lives and the results we bring into them. And yet, I consider myself a religious person who knows that God is omniscient. Is this blasphemy????
