How To Recognize A False Teacher | Ep 7
False teachers are not a new problem we face today. They have been around since early church history. But how do we spot a false teacher? What are the attributes and red flags we can watch out for when we are discerning who are sound teachers? What do we do if we feel someone actually is a false teacher? How can we protect ourselves and others from them? In this episode, Mackenzie answers all these questions by looking at many passages in Scripture God has given us describing the attributes of false teachers and how we can best handle them.

Dressing Modestly When Leading Worship In Church | Ep 6
Do you ever feel like it is a constant struggle figuring out what to wear to church on Sunday mornings when you are leading worship? Or even just as an attendee in the congregation? In this episode, Mackenzie shares some insight on how Scripture says we are to dress and present ourselves when coming to worship together during the Sunday gathering and in our personal lives. The 'modesty conversation' is typically aimed towards women, but she explains ways men can be sure they are being modest in their dress as well. With a few fashion tips, Mackenzie also shares some relatable, personal stories of past experiences navigating what to wear while leading worship.

The Deceptions of Bethel Church | Guest: Bart McCurdy | Ep 5
In this episode, I am joined by my friend Bart McCurdy to talk about the deceptions and dangerous false teachings from Bethel Church out of Redding, California. Bethel is a very popular mega church pastored by Bill Johnson, and over the years has come under fire in the public eye for their many different antics and outlandish behavior. Bart McCurdy shares a little bit about Bethel's history, stories and examples of their teachings, and how Bethel uses their music (Bethel Music) to further promote their false teachings. Is Bethel Church and Bethel Music sources we should be allowing into our church worship services?

Should We Not Listen to Certain Worship Artists or Teachers Based On Their Associations? | Ep 4
Do you struggle with where to draw the line when listening to music or teachings from artists/teachers who are associated with questionable/dangerous sources? Is it 'death by association' if a music artist, band, or teacher is closely connected with a false teacher or church? How are we to know which artists are genuinely 'sound'? In this episode, Mackenzie shares how close is too close when it comes to artists associating with other artists who are dangerous sources. Through the help of Scripture, Mackenzie shares how we can discern and be at ease with the artists and teachers we allow into our lives.

Do We Worship God or an Experience? The Expectation of Experience | Ep 3
Have you ever heard some common phrases like these in church? "Expect the Holy Spirit to move today!" or: "Are you ready to experience God in a big way?" So often in church we come into God's House seeking an *experience.* Experiences and encounters are heavily monetized by popular preachers, and if we don't have an 'experience' of our own, we're left wondering what we did wrong or why God isn't moving in our lives like He is someone else's. This propels us to ask a very important question: are we worshiping God or just what He can offer us? In this episode, we dive into a typical worship service setup in today's popular church setting and take a better look at what we should really be expecting when we come to worship the Lord.

What Is The Heart Of Worship? | Ep 2
What should our posture of heart be when we sing and worship God? Have we lost sight of who we are when we are worshiping a holy God? Does the heart behind what we sing in worship really matter? Mackenzie shares what Scripture has to say about the heart, pointing out the inconsistencies of using the argument 'it's about the heart' to justify false teachers.

Proverbs 8
After listening to a few of The Godly Whistleblower’s podcasts, I feel like I’ve struck gold, inasmuch as I’ve been doing internet research about the NAR, which is sort of the umbrella under where most of these false teachers of dominium theology, the seven mountain mandate , mike bickle & IHOPKC, bethel church Redding, as well as Rick Warren, plus Benny, Kenny, and sister Joyce etc, also I’ve been doing internet searches about the TROJAN HORSE potential of music, having been a notorious singer, songwriter, musician, entertainer, having sung in churches but also singing Gospel songs in open mike nights in restaurants, cafes, and even bars in the past, but I’m aware of the power of music to manipulate people, having had the practice of keeping the audience happy and approving of my music. That said, I’m starting to go back to a Calvary Chapel where they do systematic exigetical Bible study like Chuck Smith implemented. I’ve been doing a lot of internet research because a lot of different churches I attended started showing red flags that they were getting involved with false teachers, but music has the ability to sway peoples emotions, so they can drift away from sound Biblical doctrine! Thank you, Godly Whistleblower!
Worship is so important
This weeks podcast was spot on. Worship is so important. It’s not about how it makes us feel but about how God is honored.
Addresses the Elephant in the Room
In her poignant exploration, this young and insightful woman fearlessly confronts the unspoken dilemmas within Christianity, exposing the elephant in the room. With grace and depth, she delves into its complexities, challenging traditional narratives and offering a fresh perspective that demands reflection and dialogue in contemporary discourse. I’ve regularly read the content she has shared over Facebook and I am excited to have a platform to be able to listen to it while I am busy.
