Gold Ribbon Conversations
Six children, adolescents and young adults are diagnosed with cancer every week in Ireland. Created by Childhood Cancer Ireland, Gold Ribbon Conversations is the podcast that explores the real experiences of childhood cancer, the fear, anxiety, sadness and pain. But also the light, hope, friendships and the community that exists here. Hosted by Sinead O'Moore, these episodes will share personal stories, early symptoms, moments of diagnosis, the impact of treatment, survivorship and bereavement, as well as hearing from physical and emotional experts in this field. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Gold Ribbon Conversations is just one way that Childhood Cancer Ireland are supporting families fighting cancer. I loved this podcast because I had childhood cancer so it made me feel better about what happened
A tough road I don’t wish on anyone
31/12/2023
I’m a US based mom who just lost my child to cancer. It has been a crazy few weeks of roller coaster emotions, trying to understand everything that has transpired in these last few months, and wrapping my mind around what’s next. Hearing the stories of other parents who have faced similar experiences is comforting although this journey is not one I’d wish for anyone. It’s all too fresh and raw for me right now but one day I hope to be living with my grief better. Thank you for this podcast. Thank you to the families for sharing.
