Green Eggs... and Man?

“Green Eggs …and Man?” is an exceedingly silly send-up of overheated literary analysis, as the two hosts take an all-too-deep dive into the Dr. Seuss classic to see if it is appropriate for Adam’s coming child. The book may be; that jury’s still out. But this podcast is absolutely appropriate for your ears and your funnybone. You can tell Adam and Wes are longtime collaborators with their witty and quick banter and once or so an episode they’ll actually break through the goofiness to hit on something more profound, even if it’s about as fleeting as a normal read of this children’s book. My highest possible recommendation.

The answer is yes. If you aren’t laughing out loud and pondering existence every episode than you might not be human. Nor are you as swaggy as Robo Dad. Nor as powerful as omnipotent Sam. You’re the missing piece of alphabet paper, forever missing out. This show is a masterpiece.

I binged this on an airplane and I was literally shaking with laughter in my seat. Wes and Adam are creative and absolutely hilarious. I’ll never look at a Dr. Seuss book the same way again (in the best possible way!) More episodes please!!!

Finally, the critical, deep-dive analysis that’s been long overdue for Green Eggs and Ham. Like railroad proliferation, like space travel, like any pursuit requiring this amount of labor, the payoff will be massive, both for Green Eggs and Ham itself, and an untold breadth of topics where the analysis done here will yield analogous revelations.
