    FORWARD Independence Day 1944

    FORWARD Independence Day 1944

Hi listeners, this is Nick Seider - the creator, writer, and producer of Green Valley Radio.

I had planned on recording a video of this forward, but the broadcast you’re about to hear took a lot out of me. It takes a lot of time and energy to put these little stories together, and this time has left me quite sleep deprived. So I hope an audio recording is sufficient.

We’re about to release our 1944 Independence Day Special, and I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for listening to Green Valley Radio since I started this four years ago with two dear friends, Hannah Marks & Garrett Fritz.

Since then, the project has grown tremendously. We now boast a cast of 30, as well as a group of patrons and friends that support the project in more ways than one. Moreover, our audience continues to grow as they discover the world of Green Valley.

This special broadcast takes us to Green Valley on their Independence Day eighty years ago, in 1944. It is both a milestone marker for where we are, and a first step into where we are going.

I hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for what we have in store as we begin to approach the end of World War II and enter a world of endless possibilities in the post-war years. As always, thanks for listening - and happy Independence Day.
