Rives and Mike Gill going over the biggest sports media news, ratings and a great guest joins us, too on the "LWOS Media Podcast.!" The guys go over the mess for Netflix on their broadcast of the Mike Tyson - Jake Paul fight last Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Mike expresses his disappointment in the production and T.J. has more on the technical meltdown the streamer had for hundreds of thousands, if not millions trying to see it. Still, the audience was UNREAL and what does it mean for the NFL on Christmas Day coming up? The guys also go over the wild weekend of finishes in the NFL and just how big the ratings were for the Chiefs/Bills on CBS, etc. from Sunday? And, what does it mean for the upcoming Sunday followed by Thanksgiving Day? NFL Dramatics In Kansas City With Sports USA's Josh Appel And More! | LWOS Media Podcast

It's the newest edition of the podcast, as hosts T.J. Rives and Mike Gill are back to go over the latest in sports media news, ratings and they have a national pro football broadcasting guest with them, as well. It's all on the "Last Word on Sports Media Podcast!" The guys go over the "Blowout Saturday" of network games for ESPN/ABC, CBS Sports and NBC with almost all of the action being one-sided games. How did this affect the TV numbers, especially in the ABC primetime game window for Alabama vs. LSU? It was the opposite for the exciting early NFL games Sunday and that included the Chiefs blocking a field goal on the final play to preserve their 9-0 season beating Denver. And, on the show, we welcome Josh Appel of Sports USA radio , who was on the national call at Arrowhead to recount his call of the game and give us insight into how he broadcasts these games, etc.? It's great back and forth insight from Josh. The guys finish with some other items like the anticipated Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match for Netflix on Friday night from Arlington, TX and also, kudos to some student newspaper reporters, again, for beating traditional "legacy" media to an important story with University of Florida hoop coach Todd Golden, who is under investigation for inappropriate behavior towards numerous young women. They have filed a complaint with the University and Golden is still coaching. It's all on the "Last Word on Sports Media Podcast" and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!

College Football Blowouts Saturday, Amazing Early NFL Finishes Sunday And More! | LWOS Media Daily 11 11 24

It's the newest edition of our "daily" podcast going over sports media news, ratings, etc., as host T.J. Rives returns on this Veteran's Day to talk: A Saturday of wipeouts in College Football from Texas-Florida early on ABC to Ohio State vs. Purdue on CBS and even Alabama at LSU in primetime back on ABC, the games weren't close. Will the overall ratings suffer? T.J. also goes over the "best for last" call by ESPN's crew of Dave Fleming and Brock Osweiler on the BYU-UTAH hated rivalry game that ended the night and was an amazing dramatic last second field goal win for the still unbeaten Cougars. Also, the Utah athletic director is in trouble for taking to the post game media microphone and blasting the Big12 offciials for bad calls. T.J. has more on that. Then, he wraps with a wild early Sunday in the NFL games that saw Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs espcape with a blocked field goal to beat the Broncos on CBS and the same for Brock Purdy and the 49ers to beat the Buccaneers in the final seconds on the main game for Fox Sports. And, while the Cowboys--Eagles and the Cardnials-Jets were blowouts late in the day, the Sunday Night magic was there for NBC and the comeback by the Lions over the Texans with a field goal with no time left, too. Hear it all on the LWOS Media "Daily" for Monday and catch the full podcast on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!
