Life as a Gringo
“Life As A Gringo” is a podcast from Z100 On-Air Personality, Dramos. The show represents the voices of American-born Latinos who live their lives existing in a gray area. Those who are looked at as a gringo or “too white” by their family back in their native land, but were constantly reminded that their house smelled different or their parents music was “weird” by the people they grew up with. This is life as seen through our eyes. “...one feels at home in both places, yet at home in neither place” - Ed Morales

Refreshing, admirably authentic

Dramos’s perspective is refreshingly real, he sounds like so many of the Nuyoricans I grew up with and reminds listeners that while a lot of life is the hustle, there is space and time for conversations about deeper issues. Who hasn’t reflected on the value and limits of our parents’ experiences to guide them in a new world? What keeps me from giving this 5 stars is the length of the podcast; 45 minutes might work better (Dramos does ramble).

It’s nice hearing someone able to understand being Latino in the US. Just started with the latest ep, so have a lot to catch up on, but I can already tell how relatable it all is.
Meh

It’s obvious the guy is trying but it’s just another podcast of a dude mansplaining stuff, not even correctly.
Esto no tiene sentido...

Hi, I'm an Indigenous Mexican-American. You complain about how people call us gringos, yet you continue to make the distinction? Makes no sense. 👎🏽
