Grow Sisters Media Presents High NOON Sundays with Ricardo Baca of Grass Lands Agency.

This is very intriguing HIgh NOON Sundays Podcast we visit with Ricardo Baca of GrassLands Agency. Ricardo Baca is a 20-year veteran journalist, keynote speaker, TEDx veteran and thought leader in modern media and drug-policy circles. He served as The Denver Post’s first-ever marijuana editor and founded news vertical The Cannabist, where he extensively covered the advent of adult-use cannabis and related issues across the country and around the world, as seen in the feature documentary Rolling Papers (Netflix). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqTrKC4d8Rg  In 2016, Ricardo launched Grasslands: A Journalism-Minded Agency to work directly with business leaders in highly regulated industries, including cannabis, energy and traditional healthcare. Named Marketer of the Year by AdCann in 2019, Ricardo has received numerous accolades for his trailblazing work covering drug policy, cannabis business and culture, and continues to columnize and host podcasts for a number of top publications.  While working for The Denver Post, Baca’s investigation caused a major tipping point for the cannabis industry. Unveiling the truth about the THC percentage in cannabis products, caused mandatory testing of cannabis products being sold in the state of Colorado.  With this new regulation in place in Colorado it caused a ripple effect of states to follow their lead. The new mandatory testing also revealed the use of pesticides. Baca wasn’t done protecting the consumer and proceeded with a 16 mo investigative reporting on using pesticides on cannabis.  Reporting led to pesticide recall in the cannabis industry in Colorado. The crops were then tested and published results on Sunday newspaper.  HIgh NOON Sundays Host Siobhan Danger Darwish and Baca revisit the beginning days of cannabis legalization, address the current topic of 'essential but excluded', and then journey into the impending federal legalization topic.    We are ecstatic to get to connect with such a prestigious journalist!  This is a very special HIgh NOON Sundays and we are honored to bring it to you!    Stay updated on all things Grass Lands   https://mygrasslands.com   www.instagram.com/grasslandsagency   Baca’s HIgh NOON Sundays treat by The Clear https://clearconcentrate.com    Find the Grow Sisters!  https://www.instagram.com/grow.sisters/ https://twitter.com/grow_sisters   https://www.facebook.com/growsisters/  https://www.thegrowsisters.com   https://www.sistergrowyourown.com   https://open.spotify.com/show/55ZBPvRLHIn1qdXsIccWQM

Grow Sisters Media, High NOON Sunday Podcast with Sidecar Tommy of Beats Antique

HIgh Noon Sunday Podcast hosts cannabis educators and advocates.  Join us for this very special podcast with a friend near and dear to our hearts! In fact that new dope intro song is by him!    Tommy Cappel or Sidecar Tommy is beatmaker, drummer, and co-producer of the electro-gypsy trio known as Beats Antique  Using his 30 years of experience as a drummer, fusing with state of the art production tools, the original score is vast, raw, and properly sculpted for sound systems big or small, culminating in a collage of music that hits.  With roots steeped in The Yard Dogs Road Show, the Extra Action Marching Band, Tommy Cappel’s solo work is where his listeners experience in beats, unfiltered.   Tommy started learning about the healing aspects of cannabis when he moved to the Bay Area in the 90s and realized that cannabis could help minimize the debilitating epileptic seizures he had faced for over 20 years since he was 14. As more scientific research and stories on cannabis became available, he spent 15 years studying what strains help his seizures as well as express himself musically.  As he found the right CBD & cannabis and combined it with prescribed pharmaceuticals (including Dilantin, Phenobarbital and finally Tegretol), he was able to stop his seizures for five years and in 2014 was able to completely stop taking pharmaceuticals with CBD, eating organic healthy foods, reducing sugar intake and using food grade Frankincense essential oil, among other things.  Tommy now is an advocate for cannabis and wants to share his story to raise awareness about its medicinal benefits, empower others on their healing journeys, and encourage others to do their own research on how CBDs can work alongside existing meds or as alternatives to prescription drugs.   During this very sweet podcast, Siobhan Danger and Sidecar Tommy do some time travel then touch on current social events, aliens, how the band Beats Antique come to be, and what the band has evolved into after 14 years of creation! Tommy speaks to fellow artiest about his experience as a band member to a massively popular band while also producing his own music.  In this touching podcast, Tommy shares his healing journey with cannabis and how it has been instrumental in helping ease his epilepsy. From the heart, this conversation acts as a direct reflection from what Tommy has been living with each day of his life and our current situation living through a global pandemic. Acknowledging that every single human is in line thinking of the same thing: what is important to each of us.    It is Super Dope that Sidecar Tommy is offering to share his music knowledge!!  Want to learn to create your own beats? HIgh NOON Sundays Podcast with Lauren Rudick of Hiller PC

Welcome back to Grow Sisters Media, High Noon Sundays Podcast. In this very informative podcast, we visit with Lauren Rudick, Partner at Hiller, PC and head of the firm’s cannabis practice. We celebrate Mother’s day and get briefed on the “essential but excluded” issue regarding the lack of access stimulus funding for cannabis businesses, notwithstanding their “essential” status during this current social situation. Rudick elaborates on what “essential but excluded” businesses are experiencing and how she and the team of Hiller, PC are working to eliminate this problem so cannabis businesses can receive subsidies. Without this funding many cannabis businesses will go out of business. Hiller, PC and the Law Offices of Joseph Bondy were the two firms representing the plaintiffs pro bono during the lawsuit involving Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The plaintiffs in the suit include eleven-year-old Colorado resident and medical marijuana patient Alexis Bortell, former Denver Bronco turned entrepreneur Marvin Washington, Sebastian Cotte, father of Jagger Cotte, a six-year-old with Leigh's Disease; Jose Belen, a disabled combat veteran precluded from using federal medical benefits to obtain cannabis to treat his post-traumatic stress disorder; and the Cannabis Cultural Association, which represents many people of color who believe the government's pot policies are rooted in racism. This powerful conversation recalls former United States President Nixon’s hidden agenda for ‘the war on drugs’ and how this agenda worked against the Equal Protection Act of 1868. Rudick and HIgh Noon Sundays Podcast host Siobhan Danger Darwish both very involved in the cannabis industry agree that due to the harsh regulations and taxes put upon California Cannabis Business owners they are struggling to survive. This issue is pushing both legal and illegal businesses into the Black Market of Cannabis. Lauren Rudick is a Partner in the boutique business law firm, Hiller, PC, in Manhattan, New York. Lauren is an Expert Contributor and has a monthly column with Marijuana Venture Magazine, is a frequent speaker at national and local events, including, among others, the Emerald Cup, MJ Biz Con, the Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition, the Women Grow Leadership Summit, BevNet, the International Cannabis Bar Association, and the National Cannabis Industry Association, and provides pro bono legal and advocacy services to the Drug Policy Alliance, Compassionate Care New York, and the Cannabis Cultural Association. Lauren currently serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the International Cannabis Bar Association, as the organization’s Treasurer. Grow Sisters Media Presents, High NOON Sunday with Jackee Stang of Delic Radio

Hello everyone and welcome back to High Noon Sunday!    My name is Siobhan Danger Darwish and I will be your host today. It is April 14, 2020, and society as we know it has drastically changed. I have found myself treating others with more compassion, being more sympathetic, and patient. This was why I was shocked when last week I faced with old-world male chauvinistic b******t.   Needless to say, I turned down the job and smoked a joint to smudge the air. To erase the incident I turned on my favorite podcast Delic Radio with Jackee Stang. It was Episode 5 Triggers, trauma, & Gratitude.   The beginning of the episode is Jackee singing ‘You don’t own me” https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ask-dr-cook-call-5-triggers-trauma-gratitude/id1349473577?i=1000470516801  You can imagine. Im in my living room singing at the top of my lungs now. And it helped. And so did the rest of the episode. Never forget you are were not alone and though we can’t be there to hug it out we definitely can talk it out, share our experiences and through this become united.   Jackee Stang has long been aquatinted with podcasts media and her newest Podcast Delic Radio is making major waves in the psychedelic community.    Stang grew up in a New Hampshire Zoo and her journey only gets more exciting. During this High Noon Sunday Podcast, we get to go on that journey with her and she gives excellent professional advice.  From BulletProof Radio to VP of Programming at High Times Magazine to exploding into the psychedelics industry. Stang’s impressive resume is only the peak of the iceberg for this firecracker. Getting to become friends with Stang and watch her own her feminine power has been far more impressive than her resume.  Stang's, Delic Corporation is the umbrella Corp for Reality Sandwich Delic Radio, Meet Delic, and The Delic. Delic Corporation creates beautifully educational platforms for people to have civil discourse. Stang says ‘Delic is learning through healing’ and we couldn’t agree with her more!   Delic is providing a space for the curious to have their questions answered, for the plant medicine revolution, and ultimately holding space for psychedelics in this new awakening of society.   https://realitysandwich.com  https://meetdelic.com https://thedelic.com  https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ask-dr-cook-call-5-triggers-trauma-gratitude/id1349473577?i=1000470516801  Find the Grow Sisters!   https://twitter.com/grow_sisters   https://www.facebook.com/growsisters/   https://www.thegrowsisters.com   https://www.sistergrowyourown.com     https://www.instagram.com/stories/grow.sisters/
