Great VA, Sound Design ands Story
06/17/2024
This is probably my favorite audiodrama I've listened to. I can't think of any other podcast that has the same style of story telling as this one. Not enough podcasts make use of narration the way that audiobooks do to describe the world and environment around the characters and the story they're telling. It often leads to really awkward dialogue that leaves a lot to be desired. The overall sound design, music and effects add a lot to compliment the overall theme. I really like what you guys have done. The voice acting in general is great. Even though voice actors wear many hats and play a wide range of roles, the team has done a great job in making each character unique and interesting. I personally really like the actor that plays Professor Paimon and Sydney. Even though he was a smaller role, I loved the voice acting Fergus Prescott too, I could almost hear his fat chins waggling about as he spoke. It was great. I think the only main criticism I have of the podcast overall is some of the voice acting can be a bit drawn out to the point I feel like I need to set the play speed up to x1.25. Sometimes the dialogue can be excessively slow and the acting of the narrator and some of the characters can come across as a bit too whiny when trying to overplay the sad emotional aspect of certain story moments. Overall though, the podcast is fantastic. I've recommended it to half a dozen people or more and they've mentioned how much they've liked it and have recommened it to their friends too. Keep up the great work!

Shocked there are so few reviews. The imagery is impeccable and rich. The actors are incredibly skilled. Soundscapes are completely immersive. The writing and use of narrator is smart and purposeful. Instantly engrossed by the story and invested in Calliope. Perfect thing to binge then regret having no more episodes to play.
Great show but….Episodes not in order

I love the show! It’s a nice change of pace from a lot of the other fictional audio stories. And the voice acting is well done. The only complaint I have is that some of the episodes are out of order and I hadn’t noticed them until I was already a couple episodes past and had to go back and listen. And it did make for a confusing story until I realized the error.
Love it, nice work

These episodes are great! The voice actors and narrators have done a great job and I like the use of a narrator a lot. Most podcasts like this don’t utilize one and it helps to bring the sounds, sights and smells of the environment to life. I’m really looking forward to future episodes and finding out more about the story of Professor Paimon, Sydney and Calliope!
