ERNEST SAVES CHRISTMAS (1988) - Grab a mince pie, pour yourself a mulled wine and light that stereotypical log fire to cosy up to our FIRST Christmas episode on this much loved childhood classic. As well as our regular scene by scene review, we discuss the surprising success of the Ernest franchise and Jim Varney's career, behind the scenes stories including disgruntled Disney world worker's protests, favourite movie Santas, the movies famous composer and Barbara Streisand's agent. So join us as we (very drunkenly) discuss and dissect this festive treasure and give our VHS Abyss scores out of ten.

SWORD AND SORCERY DOUBLE - Sand, sandals, boobs, swords, boobs, blood and boobs are the focus of this low budget instalment of the barbarian sub-genre, DEATHSTALKER (1983). In this episode, as well as our usual scene by scene review, we discuss Roger Corman's affiliation with Argentinian cinema, bizarre cast deaths including the tragic murder of actress Lana Clarkson to music producer Phil Spector, terrible wigs, He-Man and Blue Peter paper mache heads. So join us as we conclude this delve into all things sword-like and vote on who is crowned The VHS Abyss champion of the episode.
