    Dr. Rod Berger takes a deep dive into the 4th Industrial Revolution with the noted futurist who coined the term over a decade ago, Professor Henrik von Scheel. Berger and von Scheel were included in the recently published book out of Dubai, "Voices of the Future." Henrik is best known as the originator (Godfather) of the 4th Industrial Revolution and Digital themes of today. Henrik is a strategist, futurist, and speaker who has evolved the mainstream business thinking and practices today. His work transcends borders, impacting more than 24 national economies, influencing GDP growth, triggering global themes, and shaping the performance of the fastest-growing companies, i.e., 23% of the Fortune 500. The “Digital Agenda” was adopted by the European Commission in 2010 as the Europe Digital Agenda 2020 and evolved into the European Digital Revolution. It is one of Europe’s seven flagships—responsible for 5% of GDP, with a market value of €660 billion annually. The “Digital Agenda” evolved into the global digital theme of today. In 2011, Prof von Scheel foresaw the future and coined the term the 4th Industrial Revolution, becoming one of the masterminds and driving forces behind its inception. As members of the Advisory Group for the Federal Ministry of Education & Research, Prof. Henrik von Scheel, Prof August Wilhelm Scheer, and Prof Henning Kagermann were tasked to define the high-tech strategy for Germany. The final “Industry 4.0” was announced in April 2013 as an interministerial innovation policy initiative. Prof von Scheel announced that Industry 4.0 will emerge in eight evolutionary stages, propelled by 77 megatrends.
