Marketed as True Crime, but it’s Fiction

When a respected true crime podcast network releases a new podcast and presents it as real, with no note that the story is fiction, listeners feel deceived and angry when they realize the truth. Bad move, guys!

Trickery!

I’m pretty frustrated and disappointed this podcast tried to pull this off as a real true crime story. When I first heard about it from Up and Vanished, it was being peddled as “true crime” and was even labeled as a“Documentary” podcast. It’s now been changed to “Fiction” after all the backlash. Shame on these creators.

Yes it is fiction, but I love it!

I went into this podcast knowing it was fiction, but none the less it still keeps me interested! It’s almost like listening to an audiobook. Can’t wait to hear more episodes.
