This podcast is based on the book by the same name, found on http://healthymindfitbody.com that explores both the nutritional and psychological sides of weight loss, fitness, diet, overall health and longevity. The three essentials for achieving an optimal the mind/body connection (found in the free interactive guide on our website) serve as the basis for our discussions of food, exercise, and living well. Essentially, by knowing how food types can affect your bodyfat percentage, you'll be able to make much better choices that serve your long-term interests. By exploring your inner continent--your subconscious mind--you'll gain a degree of self-knowledge that will assist in ending self-conflict (being at war with yourself). And by looking at your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a new, more effective and efficient way, you'll be able to heighten your motivation to create the optimal you!
Powerless

Step 1 is about coming to terms with the FACT this this thing is controlling you, you don’t control it. It’s a power statement that actually gives people their control back vs the addiction to/of whatever having that control. It’s a powerful statement to say I am powerless over this and I need help to regain control of my life. There’s a significant difference between emotions, behaviors and substances, so you have to keep it in context. We can’t never eat again, but I can certain work my program and never use again.
Awesome, insightful and real conversations.

Insightful but not so entertaining...

This podcasts discusses real life issues, and ways to react, interact, or even solve those issues. Although this podcasts has some episodes that are quite informative, I didn’t find it very entertaining to listen to. I started to get sleepy, probably because the voice is always speaking in the same tone and speed, and sometimes goes off topic. Not my favorite...
Obsessed with this podcast!

I love that these guys focus on the mental side of health and that loving yourself is a first in the journey. They encourage healthy lifestyle choices and changes made from a position of self-love and not shame in where you currently are. Very easy to follow along in conversation and even soothing to listen to. 5 out of 5 stars for me!
