EP 13: Dr. Jackson Garth, MBA, DBA - President & CEO at Verde Leaf ™
The Verde Leaf brand is positioning itself to be the top brand in the CBD race that is turning more and more into a red ocean of competition. With an uphill battle in front of them, they have accepted the challenge of not only competing for market share in the global arena but also arguably in one of the most anti-cannabis regions in the entire world, the South. Dr. Garth began his career and spent 19 years in the healthcare industry, with his focus being in management, operations, and marketing. His experience within the healthcare industry crossed over many segments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, capital equipment, diagnostics, and medical sales. The skill-sets and strengths nurtured in the healthcare industry, have allowed Dr. Garth to create and build businesses in the: civil works, recruiting, trucking, and hemp sectors. As a hemp advisor, Dr. Garth addresses challenges farmers face in the hemp arena including license acquisition, hemp cultivation & processing, and industry knowledge. Moreover, he assists in ensuring that the crop is sold above fair market value. His company, Verde Leaf™, offers free access to an invaluable farming network. The Farming Network™ provides help from current and seasoned hemp farmers and specialists across the Southeast, educates constituents in the hemp space, providing aid, solutions, resources, and in-demand insider experience. Understanding the importance of paying it forward, Dr. Garth is the Chairman of the not-for-profit Kellogg and Garth Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to provide critical unmet need scholarships as well as transformational experiences to brilliant and generous young people who are pursuing their education in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), business administration, accounting, marketing or finance. Giving back is at the very for-front of his life; from feeding the homeless hot meals to assisting foster families with their healthcare needs, it is his hope that no foster child in the metro-Atlanta area will ever have to worry about medical care. Dr. Garth also serves as a deacon at Fountain of Life Christian Church where he and his family have been members for over 20 yrs.
