So much to get to and we start with the buzzer beater in College Park. March is less than 48 hours away but with moments like that, it feels like we're already there. A quick run through the weeknight results of note, including more jockeying in the SEC, which Norlander doesn't think is going to get to 13 NCAAT bids because he's a hater. We clear the runway for John Fanta who stops by to discuss - among other things - St John's atop the Big East, why he chose to attend Seton Hall as an undergrad, the biggest pet peeves about college basketball coverage this time of year, his list of legitimate national championship contenders, and who the Browns should take at 2 in the upcoming NFL Draft. A real tour-de-force performance from Fanta, it should be said. Norlander & Hartzell run through the must-see TV games on deck this weekend, which is a solid A- slate according to the fellas. Don't let the title fool you, Hartzell chimes in as well ... but the headline here is we're unveiling these lists because we got one week left in February, people. March is coming. Time to strap in and get ready for the thrill ride that is postseason hoops because it's knocking at the door. Plenty to get to from the weekend, most notably the five upsets of ranked teams losing to unranked teams on Saturday. The three contests that Norlander took in over three days were all double-digit margins - including the all-time worst loss in the history of Illinois basketball - so the fellas spend most of their time hopping around everything else that went down over the weekend. Can only leave a five star review for Hartzel. Not Norlander given his very lazy ranking of Auburn preseason 27 saying: “Now Bruce Pearl has a group with sites set again on winning the SEC, though as you can see I'm a seller on that idea. Every year there are a few teams ranked in the preseason that prove to be overshots, and I'll take a chance Auburn applies here... For reasons hard to foresee, some teams just take steps back.” Really bro? All in good fun, he has many other good takes, but had to dunk on this one. Here because of HITD. Let’s grow!

Great show — really enjoy Hartzell and Norlander in the spring. Not someone who regularly tunes into the the CFB programming but will dip into the college baseball stuff when my Longhorns are relevant. Keep up the good work guys!

I’ve been an avid fan of Stephen Hartzell’s takes ever since I discovered him through Matt Norlander’s CBS Eye On CBB podcast (which is a must listen for any die hard college hoops fan) about FIVE YEARS ago (man time flies), and was amazed that there were actually fellow sports fanatics out there who were also into discussing great music, deep cut records, and live show recaps on their podcasts. The best of both worlds and I’m here for it. You should be too!!! Also checkout Hartzell’s Hand in the Dirt podcast. I grew up in Virginia (now in Colorado) and when i’m feeling homesick they always come through, on topics specific to the Appalachian region, gardening, sports, shoes, cards, music, relationships and more. Keep it up boys. 5 stars! (6 stars really.)
