The Accidental Anthropologist
How much of our behavior, belief systems and assumptions about others are dictated by our geography? The Accidental Anthropologist, hosted by Catherine Zinger, explores universal themes from diverse cultural perspectives to help listeners suspend default assumptions about how things “should be done.” Catherine’s multicultural background and experiences as a Filipina/American/Canadian living in Europe for 20+ years have made her culturally-astute at embracing “the new normal.” She approaches each interview and topic with sensitivity, humour, authenticity and kindness.

I have really enjoyed listening to the different perspectives presented. I look forward to the third episode. I did feel a little upset as an American over the second persons characterization of our country. I feel like her comments were a form of discrimination. To dismiss a whole country and its people without having really been here to see for herself. I felt that because she has lived a life of privilege, we as a country were beneath her elevated social class.
Refreshing and Captivating!

Interesting topic with a great guest! I so enjoyed hearing her perspective about raising a biracial child. Looking forward to hearing the perspectives of the other women you will be interviewing.
