In 2022 DNA evidence lead investigators to the home of Sherri’s ex boyfriend where they learned she had stayed willingly during the time she was missing.
A recent Hulu Documentary series "Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini" inspired this in-depth 2 hour discussion with Dr John Matthias, forensic and clinical psychologist.

Panini Episode

Really enjoyed Dr.s episode. How you weaved in theory and Sherri’s life, was fascinating. John you have really become a great story teller. I personally love when you go into the minutia of a topic and weaving it in with what the general public has access to regarding case, and how you expertly bring it together ( Home). Is so very well done…applause for Dr. John, I love that you share your impressive mind with us listerners.

Super deep-dive daybell-delusions

Where is the social and cultural responsibility, all the enabling and normalizing of delusions that led right up to the murder line? Right up to it! Allllll of that is deemed socially normal, as no problem, because we can all believe what we want no matter how delusional (just “don’t look up” haha). But how can we be so shocked and horrified that it went astray? What was actually “hidden”? In fact, having delusions, drama-concocting, lying outright, being hypocritical, believing in zombies, is rewarded by her church and social/political/cultural circles. But had their delusional ways been checked by any sane, sober social environment, Chad and Lori’s actions would have been outed as dysfunctional and anti-social. They only hid *after* they murdered, but right up to it they were leaving big, fat, glowing, Mormon-fringe breadcrumbs.

Less Lauren, more John.

Work well together — stricter roles would help. Journalist and psychologist. Lotta potential.
