Wow! That interview was unbelievable. I felt so bad for them …. U just let them talk .. you really handled it well. I don't remember the last time I heard an interview with no interruptions and being kind with your voices when asking questions, not judging them . I listen to a lot of crime podcast. I will definitely say yours really is the best !! I felt like giving that mom a hug. Being one myself I can’t even imagine being in their shoes. Especially when they tried to do the best they could.
Love the show, too many ads

I love this show so much, but there has been an increase in the number and length of ad breaks and it really makes the show difficult when I have to skip 5 minutes of ads every 15 minutes.
A Unique Approach to True Crime
Oct 10
Lauren & Dr John have been pretty transparent about why they’ve chosen this more casual approach. It’s supposed to feel conversational at times as this was what sparked the idea to turn their dinner conversation into a podcast. Dr John is constantly doing his utmost to remain professional yet approachable on these difficult topics. I personally find both he and Lauren’s research thorough & compassionate. In my opinion they’re genuinely valiant in their search for truth and understanding. Some critiques of Lauren’s relationships with her sources seem petty. I’ve always gotten the impression that she’s wearing multiple hats, one of them being a Victim's Advocate, when necessary. Big whoop if you don’t like the more casual approach to the editing. Learn to let it go or move on—there are plenty of other podcasts with bells & whistles and salaciousness to consume. I listen on both YT and on Apple Podcasts. Depending on what I’m doing or the topic being covered will usually indicate what platform I choose. When Apple reviews complain about things HTC can’t control such as silly comments in live chats it says more about the reviewers inability to just let it go. I have found comments there distasteful too but I’m not going to hold it against HTC. This is an invaluable True Crime podcast with the brains to back up their unique approach. I cannot say how much I appreciate their hard work and dedication which has helped open my own eyes and broadened my own understanding of human nature.
