  1. If Bryan Kohberger Bought The Knife, Does That Make Him The Killer?

If Bryan Kohberger Bought The Knife, Does That Make Him The Killer?

Did the purchase of a simple knife seal the fate of Bryan Kohberger? As the trial looms ever further on the horizon, one puzzle piece stands out: the alleged Amazon purchase of a K-Bar knife, potentially linking Kohberger to the horrific crime at 1122 King Road. But even if DNA evidence fell through, would buying the alleged murder weapon shortly before the crime be damning enough? And then there’s the murky case of the parents’ silence, hiring attorneys and resisting grand jury testimony about a separate missing person investigation. Does their reluctance hide something deeper or are they just protective parents with nothing to give? The defense is eager to capitalize on any slip-up, including claims about the vehicle analysis fiasco. And then there’s the whisper of blood, of DNA not necessarily present but perhaps cleaned or concealed. Did someone go to extraordinary lengths to avoid leaving a trace? Or could this alleged crime be as meticulously orchestrated as we fear? If Bryan Kohberger really did this, what kind of detail-oriented mind was behind it, and what will emerge from his inner circle? How long will this twisting, baffling journey keep us guessing, and could new testimonies from those closest to him change the game? #TrueCrime #BryanKohberger #KBarKnife #DNAEvidence #HiddenKillers #GrandJury #TrialOfTheDecade Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? 2. "Test the DNA": JonBenét Ramsey's Father Pleads for Action Nearly 30 Years After Daughter’s Murder

"Test the DNA": JonBenét Ramsey's Father Pleads for Action Nearly 30 Years After Daughter’s Murder

John Ramsey, father of murdered child beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey, believes the answer to solving her 1996 murder lies in untested DNA evidence. However, he says Boulder Police are unwilling to allow the necessary testing to move forward. “We're begging the police to engage,” the 80-year-old tells *PEOPLE*. “There are cutting-edge DNA labs that want to help and who believe they can move the case forward.” Ramsey accuses the Boulder Police Department of stonewalling external efforts to examine key evidence, including genetic material on the garrote used to strangle his 6-year-old daughter and other items from the crime scene. “We're not asking them to do anything weird,” Ramsey emphasizes. “Just do your job. Test the DNA.” JonBenét was found dead in her family’s Boulder, Colorado, home on December 26, 1996. Alongside her body in a rarely used basement room was a chilling handwritten ransom note. Despite the brutality of the crime—JonBenét was sexually assaulted and suffered both strangulation and a blow to the skull—her parents, John and the late Patsy Ramsey, became prime suspects. Their then-9-year-old son Burke was also scrutinized. Reflecting on the early days of the investigation, Ramsey recalls his disbelief at the police's focus on his family. “We assumed that the police would show some level of discernment and wisdom and say, ‘Yeah, well, this is crazy, to think [we] murdered our child.’ Well, they never did. They made that decision on day one and tried desperately to prove it.” A new three-part Netflix docuseries, *Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey?*, streaming November 25, delves into the case’s enduring mysteries. Ramsey hopes the series will reignite public interest in solving the crime and put pressure on authorities to accept help from advanced DNA labs. According to Ramsey, key items of evidence remain untested or were analyzed using outdated methods. “Of the items sent to labs in the beginning, six or seven of them were returned untested,” he reveals. “We don't know why they were not tested, but they were not tested. The garrote used to strangle JonBenét and a number of items just were sent back.” Ramsey advocates for the use of genetic genealogy, a technology that has cracked numerous cold cases in recent years. However, he says the process requires a specific format of DNA samples, which has yet to be obtained. “That’s why we've been advocating more testing be done by one or two of these very cutting-edge labs,” he explains. The evidence in question includes the garrote, the ransom note, and a suitcase found beneath an open basement window where some theorize the killer may have entered and exited the home. Despite decades of frustration, Ramsey remains hopeful. “If it stays in the hands of the Boulder Police, it will not be solved, period,” he tells *PEOPLE*. “If they accept help, all the help that's out there, that's available and offered, it will be solved. Yes, I believe it will be solved.” Ramsey’s wife Patsy passed away in 2006, and neither she, John, nor Burke were ever charged in connection with JonBenét’s murder. Nearly three decades later, Ramsey continues to push for justice, refusing to let the case fade into obscurity. # JonBenetRamsey #ColdCase #TrueCrime #DNAEvidence #JusticeForJonBenet #NetflixSeries #BoulderPolice Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? 3. Idaho Judge Rules Bryan Kohberger Can Face Death Penalty in 2022 Student Murders Case

Idaho Judge Rules Bryan Kohberger Can Face Death Penalty in 2022 Student Murders Case

Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of killing four University of Idaho students in 2022, will face the possibility of the death penalty if convicted, according to a recent ruling by Ada County Judge Steven Hippler. Kohberger’s defense team had argued to exclude the death penalty as a potential sentence, but their motions were denied.   The judge’s decision, made as part of a written ruling, allows the prosecution to move forward with its stated intention to seek the death penalty should Kohberger be found guilty. Kohberger faces four counts of first-degree murder for the November 2022 stabbing deaths of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves in an off-campus residence near the University of Idaho.   The defense team presented several arguments against the death penalty, claiming that extended periods on death row and the execution methods permitted in Idaho constitute "cruel and unusual punishment." Additionally, they argued that Idaho’s death penalty laws violate an international treaty banning the torture of prisoners. However, Judge Hippler rejected these claims, enabling the prosecution to proceed as planned.   Kohberger’s attorneys have not commented on the ruling.   The four victims, all University of Idaho students, were found stabbed to death on November 13, 2022. The brutal killings shocked the college community and drew national attention. Kohberger, a criminology student, was arrested on December 30, 2022, in Pennsylvania and extradited to Idaho in January 2023.   When asked to enter a plea in court, Kohberger declined to respond, prompting the judge to enter a not guilty plea on his behalf. His trial, initially scheduled earlier, was moved to Boise at the defense's request. It is now set to begin in August 2025.   With this ruling, the case enters a critical phase as both sides prepare for what promises to be a lengthy and high-profile trial.   #BryanKohberger #IdahoStudentMurders #DeathPenaltyRuling #UniversityOfIdaho #TrueCrime #BoiseTrial #JusticeForTheVictims   Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? The Delphi Jury Members Were Only Given Part Of The Richard Allen Story

Did Richard Allen truly receive a fair trial, or are we all missing something crucial? The case of the alleged Delphi murderer has been a whirlwind of emotions and disbelief for many, including retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke. Even after the guilty verdict, questions linger about the evidence — or the glaring lack of it. As Dreeke shares his self-doubt and frustration, one can't help but wonder: How did an unspent bullet and a voice ID without scientific backing hold such sway over a jury? And with judges able to restrict defense arguments, are we comfortable with the power they wield over justice? We saw too much, and maybe that’s the problem. But did we see what mattered? #TrueCrime #HiddenKillers #DelphiMurders #RichardAllen #CourtroomDrama #JusticeSystem #UnansweredQuestions Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Bob Motta On The Jaw-Dropping Abuse Richard Allen Received In Prison; Why You Should Care

Is justice truly being served, or are we watching an experiment in psychological torment? The trial of Richard Allen, who was found guilty of the 2017 murders of Abby and Libby in Delphi, Indiana, has raised unsettling questions about the treatment of prisoners and the limits of human decency. With only a fraction of the case evidence revealed, the defense's surprisingly abrupt close, and a whirlwind of speculation outside the courthouse, it’s no wonder many people feel stunned by the outcome. But perhaps the most shocking revelation is Allen’s alleged treatment in prison. Thirteen months of solitary confinement, knowing his mental state was unraveling, while a psychologist—later embroiled in her own ethical controversies—seemed more invested in case details than patient care. Is this the new norm for handling high-profile cases with circumstantial evidence? Can we stomach a justice system that relies on breaking individuals without regard for truth or humanity? And if we can't, how far are we willing to go to change it? #DelphiMurders #TrueCrime #JusticeSystem #RichardAllen #PrisonAbuse #TrialVerdict #DefenseDiaries Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? RAW COURT AUDIO-Lori Vallow Daybell Ordered to Undergo Competency Evaluations Before Arizona Case Resumes

Lori Vallow Daybell will be subject to additional mental health evaluations before her legal proceedings in Arizona can move forward. Judge Justin Beresky issued the decision during a hearing, keeping a Rule 11 competency evaluation in place despite objections from her defense team.   The evaluations are part of Daybell’s ongoing legal troubles in Arizona, where she faces conspiracy to commit murder charges tied to the deaths of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and her former nephew-in-law, Brandon Boudreaux.   Daybell was extradited from Idaho to Arizona a year ago. In Idaho, her mental health had previously delayed her trial after she was found incompetent in 2021 and required treatment at a mental health facility. Although she was later deemed fit for trial, her competency was questioned multiple times during the Idaho proceedings.   In the recent Arizona hearing, Daybell’s new defense attorneys, Pamela Hicks and Robert Abernathy, argued to withdraw the Rule 11 evaluation motion filed by her former counsel. Hicks stated, “She has sufficient mental capacity to understand the nature of this dispute, and there has been no history of irrational behavior.”   However, Judge Beresky decided the evaluation should proceed, citing its importance in ensuring the fairness of the legal process. “We’re going down a rabbit hole,” said Abernathy, as Daybell nodded in agreement. “If she doesn’t want to talk to the doctors, she doesn’t have to talk to the doctors.”   Despite the defense’s objections, prosecutors in Maricopa County successfully requested that Daybell speak with an additional expert. Judge Beresky maintained the Rule 11 process, ordering further evaluation.   During the hearing, Daybell also expressed her interest in representing herself in the Arizona case. When asked by Beresky about her past competency determinations, Daybell responded, “Not to my understanding. My understanding was the judge did the same thing you did in an abundance of caution and I came out competent.” She detailed her experiences in Idaho, noting she underwent “competency classes, meeting with doctors, and many, many evaluators.”   Her legal defense is now preparing for the next steps as Daybell undergoes further assessments. The next court hearing is set for Dec. 5, where the findings from the evaluations may shape the trajectory of the case.   # LoriVallowDaybell #ArizonaCase #Rule11 #CompetencyEvaluation #TrueCrime #JusticeSystem #ConspiracyCharges   Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? A Psychological Look Back At The Idaho Murders Two Years Later

Was Bryan Kohberger’s defense strategy always about buying time and hoping the world would forget the sting of the Moscow, Idaho tragedy? Two years have passed since Kohberger’s white Hyundai Elantra was spotted outside the victims’ house, and it feels like the trial’s been perpetually “a year away.” Why has this case, with a gag order limiting new revelations, dragged on so long? Could it be a tactic to soften the impact of the brutal crime for potential jurors? Bryan Kohberger continues to maintain his innocence, even offering bizarre statements about driving around to look at stars. Creepy? Maybe. Convincing? Hardly. His eerie demeanor, paired with his supposed nighttime “stargazing,” only deepens the discomfort many feel toward him. Is there hope for his defense to strip away this “creepy” aura, or is he doomed to come across as unsettling no matter what? And then there’s the bizarre fanbase—a handful of people who, against common sense, rally to his side. Women who’ve never met him profess his innocence, desperately trying to connect with him through letters and online support. What draws people, especially women, to form infatuations with alleged criminals? Is it a quest for attention, a longing to feel significant, or a dangerous psychological pattern? What does this fascination reveal about our society, and why does it keep happening? Is there any way to truly understand these obsessions, or are we destined to watch these twisted relationships play out time and again? #TrueCrime #BryanKohberger #MoscowMurders #PsychologyOfCrime #CreepyDefense #AllegedCriminal #HiddenKillers Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE?
