Historians in conversation - Prof. Arvydas Pacevičius

My guest today is Prof. Arvydas Pacevičius from Vilnius University in Lithuania. Our conversation revolves around soviet childhood a Lithuanian boy, who grew up surrounded by local traditions, and eventually became interested in history as a subject, the subsequent military service and the choice of study. Arvydas was studying history at the time when Soviet Union was still going strong, but began his PhD, as an external student, when Lithuania became independent, and his academic career has developed already in newly re-established state.
