The show is wonderful for history and movie buffs alike. The host is funny and knowledgeable. The episodes just keep getting better and better!

As a lover of movies and history, this podcast sucked me right in. I am learning about history from parts of the world whose history I knew nothing about and some movies I haven't seen yet. Really interesting, entertaining, and easy to listen to.

I sat down to listen to one episode and accidently listened to 7...in a row. This is a well-organized, well-researched podcast put together by a host that clearly loves both history and film. In short, it made me want to watch 100 year-old silent films and study India's history circa 200 BCE. Even if history and film aren't your thing, you'll enjoy the brief lessons and entertaining stories that are illustrated when the two fields are combined.

What an excellent idea for a podcast! The historical information experienced through film is entertaining and gives me a reason to watch new or rewatch films. Great facts, better narrative, and exceptional audio quality!
