History Uncensored Podcast
Unraveling History one story at a time, usually suffering death and melancholy. Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a slave in ancient Rome? Perhaps to cross the fields and forests of prehistory on a march toward civilization. History studies death, oppression, slavery, monarchy, and all things terrible. We have a visceral reaction to history and understanding its place in our modern society. Will history lead us astray or are there more important lessons to be learned and gleaned from it's decrepit pages. A withered page of papyrus and the fleeting thought of a founding father with quill to paper I make history exciting as I explore everything that society does not want you to know about western and eastern cultures. Prepare for a comical ride down memory lane as I discuss why Ronald Reagan was absolutely a terrible president. Not your taste, that's fine walk with me down the avenues of Byzantium during Justinian's plague as Theodora rushes to become the most powerful woman in the world. ENJOY! Listened to episode “History’s Dirty Short Miasma Theory”. Love the intro trumpets! 🎺 Gets me in the mood for learning something new. Enjoyed learning about miasma theory and how people got sick in the 19th century. Your personality is very relatable and entertaining. Love the witty humor and sarcasm. 😄 Fascinating to learn that people felt they were being punished by gods or plagued by demons. Those must have been very interesting times. I like how you set the stage and make these topics so engaging. I find myself wanting to do more research and dive even deeper. Most interesting to me was the talk about inhalation and putrefaction. Reducing eating habits and fasting. Thank you for publishing this content and talking about such intriguing topics. Learned something new and that’s always good!
