Trivia With The Padre

I finished The Bible In A Year (and a half, ahem) with Fr. Mike and THE NEXT DAY, I got a notification that Fr. Brad was back. Are the mind-reading ad robots getting that good? Or is this podcast blessed, driven, and inspired by God? Imma go with God. Even when I’m listening to homilies from years ago, these words speak to my heart right when I need it most. I’m so thankful for your far-reaching ministry!

I can’t help but rave about this “extraordinary form of bar trivia” even though I often do poorly at the trivia, as I sometimes learn mostly useless trivia, but more often find new insight into scripture, doctrine, faith, and/or the life of the church - while having fun at the same time. 😁 The Coffee Talk episodes are just as enjoyable and useful - I can’t decide which type of episode I prefer (which is a big part of why I’m glad they both exist)! Father Brad, Grace Krause, and all involved in this marvelous podcast deserve a huge shoutout for all of their tremendous work! I first heard of this podcast while catching up on episodes of Ask Father Josh, when Father Brad was a guest on that show. I have been binge listening for several weeks now (maybe it’s even a few months now), and it will be a sad day when I catch up and have to wait a whole week for a new episode. I now have to say that the most unusual place in which I’ve listened to the podcast would probably have to be listening while unpacking (and shelving) 12” x 32” mylar dust jacket covers while at work. Before I did that, it would have been while mending old library books and preparing new library books for circulation.

Father Brad, I wanted to tell you thanks for all you do. Between your podcasts that make me feel like I’m there with you and your friends, to the love and grace shared from the pulpit (at the beautiful St. Margaret Church) as a “passerby” to SLU for Grad school orientation( Geaux lions!)I thank you. While at times, I can understand the vocation to priesthood can be difficult, I figured that priests, like other first responders, are truly not thanked enough. Thank you for starting up your brain-awakening trivia podcast, and for your awesome homilies (even if Grace doesn’t listen to them 😜). A listener, and fellow millennial Catholic, Ashley
