House Oversight hearing on increased UFO sightings, national security

The House Oversight Committee held a hearing on Wednesday to discuss the issue of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), commonly known as UFOs. The lawmakers at the hearing expressed concern about the national security implications of UAPs. They questioned the witnesses about whether UAPs could be foreign drones or other advanced technology that could pose a threat to the United States. They also asked about the government's efforts to collect data on UAPs and to investigate these sightings.

The hearing ended with a call for greater transparency from the government on the issue of UAPs. The lawmakers said that the public has a right to know more about these unexplained phenomena, and that the government should be more forthcoming with its findings.
