Welcome to Hashing Out the Law, with Arash Hashemi. On this episode our guest is Officer Douglas Griffith of the Houston PD. He and our host discuss the recent rise in crime nationwide and what the cause may be.

Officer Douglas Griffith is a Native Houstonian. He started his law enforcement career in 1991 with the Houston Police Department. During his twenty-nine years of service with the department, he dedicated twenty years to the Gang Task Force and Divisional Gang Unit. Then served four years as a member of the Southeast Tactical Operations D.G.U. Officer Griffith has a Masters in Law Enforcement Executive Leadership from California Southern and serves as the President of the Houston Police Officers' Union.
