"How can we design for calmness?"

Design Aloud

Today, joining us in our podcast is Lisa Kleinman, A UX researcher, Design strategist and queen of customised emojis. She heads the Product design team at make.com. Make is the leading visual platform for anyone to design, build, and automate anything - from tasks and workflows to apps and systems - without coding. In this episode, we talk about -

1. How we can design for the modern work environment and something that struck us was “How can we design for calmness?”. In a world where there are so many distractions, how can we as designers and researchers find space and solutions to design for calmness and focus. 2. We also talk about her growth from multidisciplinary studies to finding a job whilst building her skill sets during her PhD and also how people getting into UX can learn from how product managers think to expand their experience and thinking structure rapidly.
