Top-Flight Guests, Subpar Host

I want this to be my favorite podcast, yet it will never achieve “favorite” status as long as Barbara B remains the host. She is less interested in what the fascinating, expert guests have to share and asking effective follow up questions than she is in shoe horning in her sometimes unrelated questions. She does not sound at all curious about the topic at hand; rather, she sounds pumped up to be the host of a podcast. She ruins what otherwise would be a must-listen experience.
A Graduate Class in Shakespeare

I’m not an English teacher or professor, but I have always loved watching Shakespeare’s play. This podcast is akin to an exegesis of Shakespeare’s world and interpretation. I am never bored and learn from every episode. I’m looking forward to seeing my next play with all this knowledge to inform my experience. I will definitely visit the Folger when I am next in Washington, DC!
