Needed to hear this today
Have been listening for awhile but this mini-episode really hit home today and I needed it. Just hearing you say that feelings come from our thoughts and the reference you made to your husband not following your script. Been dealing with creating feelings based on my thoughts about what another person’s actions are, and after hearing your words, realized just that: they aren’t following my script, and they don’t know it! So I need to let those thoughts and subsequent feelings go, throw the script out the window and tell myself a new story ! Thank you !!! Looking forward to more guidance from you ❤️
Loved this episode so much. I love all the episodes and this one really resonated! I grew up taking care of my mother’s emotions and that lead to taking care of others emotions too. I also expected others to regulate me. Of course, I wasn’t conscious of this at the time!!!
I love that your bringing awareness to this. I believe it is the KEY to healthy relationships!
Thanks so much!!
