In 2017, I was living in 150 square foot bedroom in a house that was rented out to five other people and I was serving as a doctor to inmates in Nevada.  Today, I live in suburban, Dallas and run multiple 7 and 8 figure businesses. I’m here to tell you – what I have done, you can do.     How to Build a Communication System That Scales - EP 131

    Communication is one of the most important factors in scaling your business. And I’m not just talking about internal communication within your team—I’m talking about clear, concise, and consistent communication with your clients. Your clients are busy people, juggling countless responsibilities, so wordy emails or cluttered messaging won’t cut it. That’s why having a reliable messaging platform is a game changer. For my business, we use a system we built with DEF CON 1 Marketing. It’s a powerful CRM that lets us text, email, and call clients seamlessly, ensuring no message falls through the cracks. Trust me, using your personal cell phone or Facebook Messenger for client communication is a recipe for disaster. With a robust CRM like DEF CON 1, we’ve automated follow-ups with built-in email sequences, text messages, and even voicemail drops—designed to keep clients engaged for an entire year. These reminders aren’t just for leads; they’re essential for existing clients too. Appointment reminders are key to ensuring clients show up. Our system sends booking confirmations and reminders at 48 hours, 24 hours, and the day of the appointment. While it might sound like overkill, the truth is, most clients appreciate the consistency and reliability. If one out of ten people complain about too many reminders, that’s fine—they’re probably not the kind of client we want anyway.
