The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show

I really enjoy both the hosts I like their point of view however I’m just an average person trying to go to the next level in my life and there’s no way I’m gonna learn anything from people a privilege like the two guests on your most recent episode. I didn’t even wanna listen to it because there’s nothing I could relate to and it seems that a lot of podcasts these days are featuring people that are such a name, recognition, etc., etc..

Their content and opinions simply aren’t relatable anymore. I used to love their practicality, now their advice and perspectives are so far from what’s achievable at this point in my life. It’s irritating when Lauryn says people make excuses but she can afford multiple Nannie’s in order to maintain her own personal care routines. It’s not inspiring or relatable and their “tangible takeaways” are out of reach for the majority of us.

I genuinely love this podcast. I listen to a majority of the episodes however there’s definitely a few that aren’t for me and that’s OK. There’s a lot of content I consume whether the podcast books, social media, etc. where I don’t 100% align with the person and that’s OK, I really appreciate how they bring people on and show different points of view. Just because somebody comes on and states their beliefs does not mean that is the beliefs of the host. However, they are giving us a view point that is maybe different than our own or of their own which is how we learn and grow. Reading through some of the other reviews, I can relate in how sometimes I think Lauren may not allow the conversation to unfold naturally and organically because I feel like she’s always kind of got an inside joke going on with Michael that we don’t know. But again they’re married. It’s their podcast and take what I like and I don’t take what I don’t like from it. Also, I am very intrigued by Lauryn’s morning and night routine routines because as a mother myself, I only have a few minutes in the morning and I am always amazed when she says she does X, Y, and Z that she does every morning or every night. I genuinely would love to learn more.

As a listener it’s really annoying when the two hosts keep talking over the guest. The guy repeats himself every episode trying to prove himself and the girl needs to understand she can be funny without trying soooooo hard. It’s so desperate. Please ask questions listeners would want and then be quiet!!!!
