How To Destroy Everything
This is the true story of Richard Jacobs – a narcissist who destroyed a childhood, a marriage, a family, and a community. He sued every sentient being on the face of the earth, got banned from restaurants, and inspired a support group composed solely of people he traumatized. He stole notary stamps, hacked emails, forged signatures… and won a U.S. Supreme Court case. He was also my dad. Join us each week as hosts Danny Jacobs and Darren Grodsky will shift between past and present to explore the lasting impact of Richard Jacobs. I loved the format, especially the interjected vignettes and interviews with Danny’s mother. This podcast gave me an aha moment in relation to my own life and why I subconsciously took the path forward in my own life. Good job and thank you!

Danny is doing really important work here, for himself, for his relationships, and for folks like me in the Bad Dads Club. Listening to Danny uncover and process the makings of his narcissistic parent is like listening to my own last couple of years. Thank you for sharing something I can relate to so well. It helps. And I really enjoy the hybrid storytelling. Keep going!
Was disappointing once it resumed.

I was very invested when the first episode came out. Once I saw it resumed I was very excited to continue listening, but I have lost interest out of this continual victimhood of the son and reveling in it, and I felt so sorry for his mother as he uncomfortably grilled her not realizing that during this time period was when women had much less choices as a woman and did not realize what they could or could not do. Your feelings during this are valid but she endured this during a time period with not many choices and I’m sure the ones she had were not realized. I was still just waiting on the linear timeline of what your dad did next, since this was about him. Anyway, disappointing.
