Shift The Narrative: The Official SNR Podcast

We are thrilled to share with you all the conversation we had this week with Marist College’s Director of Counseling Services, Marisa Moore. Dr. Moore is an intersectional feminist Counseling Psychologist serving as Director of Counseling Services and adjunct instructor for the MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marist. She has worked as a summer camp bereavement counselor for children through Calvary Hospital in the Bronx and with adolescents in juvenile detention centers across Oklahoma. Her college counseling experiences include Oklahoma State, University of Maryland, and University of Pittsburgh. A Bronx-raised Latina, Marisa’s identities and experiences inform her work and commitment to social justice. The conversation between host Jianella Zegarra and Marisa Moore was informative, engaging, and interesting, teaching listeners about the importance of community, self-care, setting healthy boundaries, and commitment to social justice. As one of the main pillars of Silver Needle Runway, SNR is committed to bringing those who feel their voice hasn’t been heard together and embracing everyone’s differences. Keep listening to find out how you can better your community for yourself and others, and how it can help you Shift the Narrative of our world.
