Human Trafficking and Porn

In Ep. 5 of the H.E.Y. Girl! Podcast we discuss human trafficking and pornography with Human Trafficking Advocate Cindy Baney, and how it affects our young girls. This is a topic that is not discussed enough. Here are some facts to think about:

• 64,000 missing black women and girls in the US, and the media doesn't seem to be concerned. 
• Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are trafficked into the U.S. each year.
• Human trafficking is the third largest international crime industry (behind illegal drugs and arms trafficking).
• It reportedly generates a profit of $32 billion every year.

On another subject we discuss our girls and pornography. Most girls are introduced to porn at the age of 10 and are addicted by 14. We only get to touch the surface, but this is a great podcast to learn some basic facts on these issues.
