    On the Mean Streets - Paramedic Rafi Uddin

    Rafi Uddin is an Aussie expat working in the UK, and one of only a few paramedics to have a ballistic vest as part of his daily equipment. He is a member of his service’s specialist ‘tactical response unit’, working to expedite care of patients involved in police incidents. In this episode, Rafi walks us through his approach as first on scene to a major trauma case, and discusses principles of scene management, impromptu teams, trauma assessment and treatment.     One More Night on Earth - Dr. Chris Mobbs

    The EMD team from Deakin University excited to bring you our third episode of the emergency medicine podcast, The Amazing Case. This episode we speak to Geelong's Dr. Chris Mobbs about a case that pulled the heart strings (lung strings?) and reminds us of those tricky end of life conversations, and the difference that a day or two on this Earth can make to friends and families.
