Think of it like jazz improvisation—one musician plays a riff, and another picks it up, twists it, and makes it their own. Or like leaving a note in the margins of a beloved book, except instead of the margins, it’s a brand-new poem. As we turn the page to a fresh year, I want to pause and thank you for being here—for showing up, for reading, for watching, for replying to my emails with kind words, for creating alongside me in your own unique way. Your presence in this space makes it more alive, more meaningful, and endlessly inspiring. Wanna a swell way to cap off the year? 5. The Creative Act by Rick Rubin

There’s no subject I like more than the subject of CREATIVITY! I eat, breathe and sleep it, and it is my pleasure to continue to read from this wonderful book for you. My friend Penny thinks I should write a book about creativity. I did have a course that I created for Skillshare (Zen and the Art of Creativity) and Listenable (Sieze Your Creativity!) But things seem lost to me once I complete them. Is that strange? I create something and then let it go and forget about it. I mean, I share like mad at first, and then… I move on. But maybe I can stop doing. Anyhow, I think I will listen to my friend Penny and create a little something-something on my favorite topic. Stay tuned. BTW, this is Penny.
