Conte's Spurs: Son is back, Automatisms, Lack of Rotation and Title Chances

Joe Devine and Jon Mackenzie are joined by Nathan A. Clark from The Extra Inch podcast to talk all things Tottenham Hotspur. After an excellent 21/22 season (after Nuno left), heavy squad investment and a proper Conte pre-season, Spurs were expected to fly this season.
Seven league matches later, they are joint second with Manchester City and only one point behind league leaders, Arsenal. However, the performances haven't been promising and Kane & Son haven't been firing as usual. What should we expect from Tottenham Hotspur this year?
The guys also talk about De Zerbi's exciting move to Brighton, Juventus' disappointing season with Allegri, Brendan Rodgers hitting rock bottom with Leicester and Bayern Munich not living up to expectations.

Graham Potter’s Chelsea, where next for Thomas Tuchel, La Juventus, England’s Ivan Toney?

Graham Potter’s Chelsea, where next for Thomas Tuchel, La Juventus, England’s Ivan Toney?

Joe Devine, Jon Mackenzie and Liam Twomey are here to talk about football.

Will Graham Potter work at Chelsea?

Which players will benefit and who should be sad? All of these questions are answered to at least a minimum level of competence…

For Thomas Tuchel, where next for, depending on your definition, an “elite” manager?

It could be Juventus, who are struggling to recapture old glories under Max Allegri.

Who should Brighton appoint as their next canny coaching hire?

And should Ivan Toney be heading to Qatar with England?

VAR, Manchester United beat Arsenal, the Merseyside derby, the Old Firm and listing Leicester City

Joe Devine, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Jon Mackenzie and JJ Bull are here to talk about all of the football.
The V.A.R. ruined everyone’s weekend, but what to do about it?
Manchester United beat league leaders Arsenal, but is there such a thing as a good defeat?
The Merseyside derby served up a rejuvenated Everton and a Liverpool who are still a bit less good than last season.
Celtic put four past Rangers in the lead up to both teams playing in the Champions League group stages. But will feasting at Europe’s top table just make both Glasgow giants even more unreachable for other Scottish clubs?
And Leicester have one point from a possible eighteen in the Premier League. Has the love gone between The Foxes and Brendan?

Brighton’s brilliant start, Liverpool’s midfield, plus footballer transfer values in chocolate

Joe Devine, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Jon Mackenzie are joined by Amitai Winehouse from The Athletic to have a little chat about the football.

Brighton have made yet another great start to a Premier League season, but what exactly makes them so good?

Liverpool have not started as well as most thought they would, and do they need to overhaul their midfield earlier than they expected?

Are Manchester City leaky at the back and, if they are, does it really matter when they score a bazillion goals?

We discuss how Southampton’s risky pressing very nearly worked against Manchester United.

Plus how many Freddos would potential United signing Antony be worth? Turns out, it’s a lot…

Conte and Tuchel face off, Man Utd's woes continue and Barcelona disappoint

JJ Bull, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Jon Mackenzie are joined by special guest Amitai Winehouse from The Athletic to have a little chat about the football.

Proper Premier League drama returns with a strong handshake between Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte after a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Manchester United were battered by Brentford and it doesn't look like there are any signs of improvement.

Is Hasenhüttl a Schrödinger's manager, caught in a superposition between being an amazing manager and being sacked next week? How will Dortmund ever challenge for the Bundesliga again?

This Capitalist System We Live In

Joe, there’s plenty of places you could live if you truly want out of this capitalist system that the rest of the world can’t immigrate to fast enough. Just think at 2:00 on a Sunday Instead of having the luxury of wondering who you are you could be thinking about which bread line you’ll be standing in tomorrow as you gaze out the window of you 300sf pale yellow building which faces an adjacent pale yellow building. The Athletic is a social experiment gone out of whack and you clowns are lemmings
