The Athletic NBA Show

They do a good after analysis of the games. They do great by getting right to the games and are not superfluous like other podcasters. A pet peeve of mine though, is the constant “like” by one of them. But overall it’s a good podcast.

Mannnnnnn….. Is this a Generational thing? Is it a Feminization thing? Is this how our young black male athletes have been socialized into being so feminine? All they do is whine about nonsense. Who were their male role models? Feminine “men” ain’t it? The NBA is in a bad place with all these Feminized American Born & Raised Basketball players…..

I am long time listener, and at this point, I skip any episode that Mo is hosting. No hate at all, as I think his unique experience working for nba teams has its value, but none of it shows up in his commentary. His takes often poorly paraphrase what the most basic contrarian take of the moment is, or exactly what his cohost has already put in better words. I think his experience could be fascinating, but he rarely injects insight from these moments into his takes or opinions. Its such a bummer to enjoy this show’s many energetic, and insightful hosts only to turn on a episode where he slows everything down to make terrible jokes and boring takes that everyone already has heard. Not to mention constantly repeating himself until he runs out of steam or loses his train of thought, and “playfully” browbeating cohosts. I wish there was a Mo Dakhil-less feed.

Great show from summer league! These two have a great rapport. And yes, I’m with you. This show is missing our best analyst and glue guy, Alex. Great show!
