What's Next For Gwinnett County School Board Chair Everton Blair?

www.GoodMorningGwinnett.com Everton Blair, chairman of the Gwinnett County Board of Education, will not seek re-election to the board next year, he announced Tuesday.

Blair, whom many Democrats view as a rising political star, is considering a run for State School Superintendent

“I haven’t made any other decisions right now besides this one,” Blair told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday.
Everton Blair elected chair of Gwinnett school board
Blair, 29, was elected in 2018 as the Gwinnett school board’s first Black, first openly gay and youngest-ever member. Since then, two other Democratic members of color have joined him on the five-member board, creating a majority that he has led through a tumultuous year.
The school board unanimously picked Blair as chairman in January.

Another woman, 50-year-old Brenda Stewart of Suwanee, rushed through the metal detectors outside the board meeting room without stopping, Roach said. Officers called her back and found scissors in her bag, which they told her she was not allowed to bring into the meeting, Roach said. Stewart grabbed for the scissors and struggled with an officer for them, scratching the officer’s hand, Roach said.

Stewart was charged with willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

Raw, Real and Resilience

I came across Audreys show recently via Georgette and her media team. I tuned in with Partnership Matters with DA Patsy. I love how real and conversational the show is from faith to business to entrepreneurship, and everything in between! Very engaging too!
