    Love on the Apps

    Love on the Apps

How do people meet and marry in 2022?  The next two episodes of this podcast set out to find that. I chatted with Rebecca, Brooklyn native, newly married wife and mom.
“I met him in the exact way I wasn’t going to meet a man,” Rebecca said reflecting on how she met her husband.
Rebecca never thought she needed a man or even a relationship to make her happy. Even after reaching her 30s, she felt the same. Losing her father as a “daddy’s girl” and the pandemic shifted her way of thinking.
Hop into this mini-series of Love on the Apps, as Morgane unpacks what it’s like to meet and marry in 2022.
Also during this episode, Morgane Shakes her Curls at the instant gratification generation.
Morgane chews on Cashew e Pepe during What You Chewin’.

    Healing in 2022

    Healing in 2022

What’s it like to be a Black woman therapist in today’s time? Our guest, Casondra (Candi) Foster left a job after being told her call time was too long. Her response was, “Call time is too long? I’m a therapist.”

During BIPOC Mental Health Month, the Young Black MRS team unpacks what it’s like to be a Black female therapist in 2022. Plus Casondra is a Christian therapist, so there are levels to the conversations she brings to this episode of the podcast. Morgane and Casondra unpack “old school” church thinking, how the murder of George Floyd impacted her practice, and of course her 15-year marriage.

Also during this episode, Morgane celebratorily shakes her curls because travel is back. As a travel consultant Morgane can help you plan your next dream vacay.

    Secret Crush Turned Wife

    Secret Crush Turned Wife

Crushes, we all have them but have you married your crush?

In this episode, Morgane chats with Keda about having a secret crush on her now wife.

Morgane shakes her curls at quitters after seeing an opening act.

Morgane gushes about her Grammy party treats and chews on corn dogs in the What You Chewin’ segment.

Here are the key takeaways from the Main Event with Keda:

Keda is a graduate of Wilberforce University where she met and developed a crush on her now-wife. She admitted having a secret crush on her wife but never acted on it and the two remained friends until they decided to move forward as a couple after working together.

Keda’s coming out wasn’t too challenging. Her friends and family quickly accepted the couple because of how romantic her wife is towards Keda.

Just nine months after they started dating, Keda was engaged. They practiced Love University, a creative, university-themed framework to evaluate and strengthen their relationship, to solidify their relationship.

With Love University, they rate their communication skills, complete scenarios, or use an A-Z index of conversation starters to bond and track the progress of their relationship.

Currently Keda and her wife are married and planning their dream destination wedding for April 2023.

Let’s keep the conversation going by connecting with Morgane and Keda on social media. Let them know what you thought of this episode.
