In the latest episode of None But The Brave, co-hosts Hal Schwartz and Flynn McLean are joined by Tom Cunningham, long time host of the Jersey Shore radio show Springsteen On Sunday, which can be heard on 107.1 The Boss, to discuss a unique night in the history of the E Street Band. On June 8, 1984, four days after the release of Born In The USA, Bruce and the band took the stage at The Stone Pony for an unannounced show that served as a rehearsal for the upcoming tour. Tom attended the show and gives his first hand account of the wild events that took place.

Ok, 1st of all, if you are a diehard Bruce fan, then you will instantly like this podcast, there’s nothing not to like about it, it is well researched, and the hosts are well connected/informed.Their knowledge, their passion overrides any flaws they may have as broadcasters, so it is not painful to listen to. I highly recommend this podcast.

For what it’s worth, I LOVE Johnny99 🎸. Bruce said this tour was going to be a big party, and it seems like he is balancing that with the mortality we all have felt in spades these last several years.
