Recentering with Lucy Dacus
It’s the last DRCK of 2022! What a year it has been. I’m wrapping it all up with singer/musician/producer Lucy Dacus! We talk about her upbringing within a cerebral evangelicalism, VBS, Purity Culture, and unravelling what she was handed. We also talk about her latest full length, this year’s EP, her creative process and ways in how she has found community on the other side of a faith change. We also answer the age old question: was Lucy Dacus team Unforeseen Kiss or Sloppy Wet Kiss.

We Have Each Other with Jon Huertas
This week I got to chat with actor, director and writer Jon Huertas (This is Us! Castle! Sabrina the Teenage Witch!). We talked about his upbringing within the catholic church, moving out of religious spaces to nontheism, and reasons he let go of the dogma he was handed to instead embrace belief in humanity. We also talk about creativity, the hard work of believing in yourself, telling compelling stories, and we chat about This is Us.

Customer Reviews
Amazing!
I deeply appreciate the space Adrian has created for those of us growing and changing and possibly moving out of evangelicalism.
Healing for Past Trauma
Finding this podcast has been a joy and instrumental in healing my past church trauma and spiritual abuse. Good for anyone on a similar path forward from evangelical roots.
Favorite companion podcast for your journey
This podcast has been so important to me throughout the phases of my deconstruction journey. There is such a community around it of inclusion and growth that I love and it has given me so much comfort and companionship through a journey that can be very isolating and lonely sometimes. I think Adrian is an amazing host; I love the humility that he brings and has always said he’s figuring it out as he goes too, which is so relatable. I love the different segments that bring equal parts goofiness and depth. I’m so so happy that the show kept going because I love it so much and it’s been so meaningful to me.
