Jessica's journey as a photographer has taken several turns, from weddings to families to newborns and now boudoir photography. In this conversation, we talk about the importance o...

266 - Broad Work vs. Deep Work
I recently read a quote by Seth Godin where he distinguished between long work and hard work, describing long work as routine, consistent effort without risk that most everyone makes, and hard work as the innovative, risky, and potentially transformative efforts that some people are willing to make. Both have their place, but there is a point at which just putting in the hours without taking the leap might be holding us back. This got me thinking about the evolution of a photography...

265 - Simplifying Your Instagram Workflow with Angela Shae
Almost every photographer I know has a love/hate relationship with Instagram. On one hand, it provides a free and relatively easy way for us to showcase our work and reach new clients. On the other hand, the amount of time it takes to create enough content to stay on top of trends and the algorithm can be enough to send you over the deep end. But what if there was a way to hack the system? Today, in a special episode, my partner from The Consistency Club, Dayna Schaaf, is interviewing An...

264 - Finding Your Marketing Superpower with Casey Fatchett
I wish I could wave a wand and help every photographer see their superpower - that one thing they do better than anyone else - so that they could use it to own their place in the market.Since I'm (sadly) not a fairy godmother, I'm doing the next best thing by bringing on Casey Fatchett of The Nerdy Photographer. Casey and I geek out on marketing, SWOTs, and other tools you can use to take stock of your business, but I particularly loved his marketing superhero analogy... and I think you will ...

Customer Reviews
Finally!!
Finally found a podcast about photography business that is relatable, up front, and easy to digest/implement. I'm just listening to as many as quickly as I can. It feels like listening to a friend who is actually interested in your success. And it's awesome to see her implement all the tools she's teaching on her own website and marketing. I would recommend this podcast for anyone who wants to make their photography business more manageable, profitable, and enjoyable.
No better way to upskill and upgrade your business
I could go back and list all the ways my business has improved from listening to TCBTH, but it would take a few days to write and your eyes would get tired reading it. 😀😝 Because—and I’m not blowing smoke— there is SO MUCH amazing information in this podcast. She’s entertaining and full of expertise on systems and process and marketing and so much more. Annemie knows what makes a good podcast—great audio quality, great vocal quality, an on-topic interview that doesn’t go on random tangents, and she gets to the meat of the topic quickly (or, if the point is not able to be made quickly, she gets there with clarity). I hate podcasts that are full of idle chitchat and this has none of that useless fluff. Five stars all the way.
The Best!
I love, love, love Annemie. Always amazing advice
