    Reflections From the October Rebellion

    Reflections From the October Rebellion

    Learning from Chile's Revolts
On October 18, 2019 - a breaking point was reached. Revolts spread like wildfire in different territories that are dominated by the state of Chile. What has been gained, and what has been lost? Who is writing the future and what is at stake? We translated and recorded an interview with Isa from Valparaìso, who reflects on the revolts, the frontlines, the Mapuche struggle, anarcho-feminism and the territorial assemblies.

    War on Anarchists

    War on Anarchists

    Greece's War on Anarchists

At the beginning of March 2021, the streets of Athens exploded. After months of repressive lockdown measures and a hunger strike by well-known Greek political prisoner, Dimitris Koufontinas, the atmosphere was akin to a pressure cooker and the inevitable rupture was enormous, even by Greek standards.

To gain some perspective on the goings on, we checked in with Tasos, an Anarchist from the Void Network.  His interview touches on everything from the history and current context in Exarcheia, to the influence played by social media and #MeToo on the Greek political situation.

    Peter Gelderloos on Counter Insurgency.

In this episode we revisit an interview we did with Anarchist author, Peter Gelderloos, in 2017. He talks to us about the constant war being waged by states against their populations and gives an overview of how this played out in Spain during the police operations known as Pandora and Piñata. He also touches on the historical process of militarization which he explores fully in his book Worshipping Power: An Anarchist View of Early State Formation.
For an update on some of the history since 2017, check out the interview Peter did with It's Going Down in 2019.
You can also hear his take on what to expect from the Biden presidency in his 2021 interview with IGD.
