The Duffys: Harrison Butker & the NFL's Anti-Christian Bigotry
After Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker gave a commencement speech at Benedictine College, a private Catholic university in Atchison, Kansas, the internet had quite a bit to stay. I could not wait to listen to you two discuss Harrison’s commencement speech. Thank you! You did not disappoint.
As a born and raised Pittsburgh Steeler fan, my heart was crushed when the NFL decided to go woke back in 2016. I lost total respect for the organization that jumped into the political arena. There should have been no response from them. Not surprising, they immediately felt the need to distance themselves because of ‘diversity and inclusion’. As you stated, inclusion for everyone EXCEPT Christians and Traditional Catholics. As much as I would love to buy a Butker jersey, I don’t want the NFL to get one penny from me. Someone wise suggested taking that $100 and donate to the Benedictine College. God bless you both and as in the words of Matthew Kelly, “BE BOLD AND BE CATHOLIC.”
