How to Balance Task-Oriented and People-Oriented Leadership

How to Balance Task-Oriented and People-Oriented Leadership

When we stray too far into being people-oriented, we run the risk of dysfunction and not getting enough done through our organizations. Yet if we go too far towards being task-oriented, our team members end up just being numbers that show up for work. We use people to accomplish tasks. But why do we think that being task-oriented and people-oriented are at odds? Peyton and Barry believe that we need to value people and still get tasks done. The best way to do this is through investing in people to develop them, which allows them to work most efficiently and the organization thrives. Listen in to learn more.

TREASON

I’m tempted to call the modern North American church treasonous as another Micro empowering movement brother has, but I’m not all the way there, yet. Rather it may be a victim of, yet complicit, in idolatry.

The empowering of the pews through the command in Ephesians 4 has recently been a life giving paradigm shift for me. New to Newbreed, very blessed to have listened to the first several episodes and the team has gone a fantastic job in the explaining the biblical grounds for APEST at street level.

I am the guy and family in the pews that has been scratching my head wondering if this mold was the only way. Not only is it not, but perhaps treasonous.

Thanks to the Jones’ and the other fellar for your work in this and I look forward to exploring Newbreed more to be mobilized to be apart of the movement of releasing the priesthood of ALL believers.

Core stuff

I have been a fan of Peyton’s stuff for a number of years and have a passion for solid TEAM leadership both in and out of the church. This has been some very practical discussion on how the body of Christ can function as a team. Both within the leadership but also in a congregation. I look forward to how this develops.

Team leadership should be the norm

This podcast is designed to shift leadership from a solo, life-crushing, soul-sucking venture, and turn it into an enormous joy. The show is deeply practical while maintaining a theological grit. Every leader should listen to it.
